Silverstar hissed. "Why is it that you need a reason? Do you think I would squirm and say nothing? Once again, you two left Snowclan. That means you have no right to live on Snowclan territory. Your choice was to leave, which means you leave the land as well. I assure you there is plenty of other places to go, other than to stay on this land. Not reason enough? Starclan would like you gone as well, I'm sure. They wouldn't want you to stay here, living here, on Snowclan territory. This is the way it works. You leave the Clan, you leave the land." She tilted her head. "I suppose that won't be enough, will it? I'm sure you will fight to stay because you dislike me greatly and you won't just swallow your pride and leave. Besides when you lose, you don't want to stumble off our land, wounds pouring blood, as you try to find a place to sleep. It won't help you at all." She stopped there, thinking, her silver eyes gleaming. She knew they wouldn't leave, oh no, their pride was too great. "You think that you were born here and that gives you the right to stay. Unfortuantly, it does not. You were born in Snowclan and you left, therefore, it isn't your land anymore. You are a rouge, so leave." Silverstar lifted her head a little. Yet, they couldn't leave without her saying one last thing that she had wanted to say for a long time. "Oh yes, another thing to come to terms with. I hear you making fun of my weak points a lot here and I agree. I agree with all my flaws that you are pointing out. Yes, I made a mistake with the fox pups. It will probably be remembered throughout history. "Silverstar's big mistake." I did something wrong, I agree. There is no need to continue bringing it up, because the past is done and the future is what we should be looking at. I hope you, Hawkclaw have a pleasent future with your mate. Maybe one day you will raise kits and tell them stories about the daft leader, Silverstar, who wanted to send out a patrol to look for other foxes on her territory. I have come to terms with that little mistake and I hope you can let it go like I have." Her eyes flashed, showing that she doubted he would. "Another thing, my pride you seem to reflect on. Listen, my pride runs in my blood. My father had it and my grandfather had it as well. It is a weak point in my genes and I'm sure you have a flaw in your genes as well. Everyone does. My pride is something I will work on, as I have just become leader a few moons ago. I will work on countless things through my life, hoping to fix them and to help to lead my Clan better. Pride. Good and bad. I have come to terms with it, and I hope you can see that when I tilt up my head, it is not to look down on you, it is to remind you that my name is Silverstar, leader of Snowclan. All the little things I do, are who I am. It's my personality, how I act and how I lead. All these things, all of them, I understand and know."Silverstar finished her speech and wrapped her tail around her stocky body, watching the rouges. She felt as if a huge boulder had been lifted off her shoulders and she sighed with relief, closing her eyes for a second and flashing them open, keeping her steady gaze on Hawkclaw and Sweetpaw.
