Silverstar swept her tail across the dirt, her eyes raking amoung the cats that had gathered. Her heart was beating in her chest and she blinked slowly. This had to be done. Silverstar rose to her paws. "All right then. Now, before we leave I would like to address something." She took a deep breath and continued. "Now, I know that all of us have grown up with Hawkclaw and Sweetpaw beside us and we had grown close to them, as Clanmates should. I know a few of you are reluctant to drive these rouges away. In fact, I'm a bit reluctant myself. But, listen. Those cats were not loyal. They did not know what it was like to be a Clan. They will never understand it. This feeling." Silverstar purred and nodded her head at each one of her Clanmates. "The feeling of being united and strong. Of being a Clan." Silverstar puffed out her chest a little, pride and love for these cats swelling in her heart. Her grey eyes sparked and she watched her warriors, their own eyes showing emotion as well. This is what it felt like to lead a Clan and be someone that kits looked up to.
Moonshadow jumped around, excited to leave. He hadn't been out in a while and his heart beat in his chest. He kneaded the ground, his grey eyes bright. Suddenly, Silverstar spoke up and he sat quickly, realizing she wanted to be heard. He nodded, hearing her words. It was rare that she talked about the Clan like this. Did she really feel this way? Moonshadow flicked his tail and he purred, feeling the motivational words spread through his body. Now, he was even more excited to chase out the rouges. He did feel a little bad. He had grown close to the two cats, but they betrayed their Clan and they didn't deserve to live on Clan territory anymore.
