Mosspaw poked her head out of the Apprentice den, her eyes curious. She saw Lillystar, and her mother bursting from the warriors den.

"What happened?" Softstep meowed urgently.

[Sgt. Peppers]

Lilystar took deep breaths, then panted at last, "F...FIRE!"

[Mythics]

Thunderstrike's eyes widened with shock. A thin trail of smoke was just visible above he trees.

[No Going Back]

Softstep's eyes widened. "Where?" she asked, her voice coming out in an urgent hiss. Then she saw the smoke.

[Sgt. Peppers]

Lilystar pointed to the other end of the island of BrookClan."We must escape!" Lilystar had a plan...
"So," she began. "I have an idea..."

Softstep leaned closer to listen.

Mosspaw stared at the smoke. She padded into the nursery to warn Ravenheart, who might have the most trouble escaping with her kits. She didn't see Lillystar speaking with the warriors.

[Mythics]

Thunderstrike hissed hastily. "We need to get everybody up, we can't stay here!" he mewed urgently.

"already on it" Icemist mewed as she darted into the nursery after Mosspaw. She stirred all the kits to arouse them.

Softstep disapeared into the warriors den "Fire!" She yowled.

Mosspaw poked a kit with a paw to waken it.

[Mythics]

Icemist nudged the drowsy kits out of the entrance. "Where's Ravenheart"? she asked Mosspaw urgently.

Heathercloud woke and looked up at softstep groggily. "Wha?" she asked deliriously.

[Sgt. Peppers]

"Mosspaw!" Silverpaw mewed. "Quick!"
"My plan is,"Lilystar said. "One of you must stand infront of the dogs. They will follow, so, you then climb a tree. Jaggedstar, will you lead the rest of our clan to the cliffs and climb up trees?" Jaggedstar nodded.
"Good. Silverbrook, you are brave and wise, you will distract the dogs. Someone must acompany her...Kayla! You will. I shall give you a warrior name if this is a sucess. Hide a few fox-lengths away in a bush. Thi second you see Silverbrook step out. Run until you see Thunderstrike and...Thunderstrike, you pick. When you and your partner come, I shall be ready for the dogs alone."
