Janie turned her back to both of them. She stroked Flicka's neck.

Flicka watched both boys, letting Janie do whatever

Janie leaned against Flicka and rested her cheek on her neck, hiding from Joe and Jake.

Joe popped the mare's nose sharply.He stepped next to Janie."I know what you are feeling."he said softly.

Jake shoved Joe roughly but knew instantly that he had made a mistake.

Joe turned to Jake calmly."You shouldn't of done that.Like Alec said,I'm trouble."he said quietly.Jumping forward he pinned Jake's arms behind his back and slammed him into a wall.

Flicka snorted, lashing out at Joe, grabbing the collar of his shirt and the rearing up. She didn't like him at all

Jake slid down onto the concrete.He had a bad cut on his forehead and a dislocated shoulder.
