The wind whistled a sad song all around them. The birds didn't chirp. It seemed that all the world knew a sad thing had just happened. Fernstar looked up to her Clanmates. "Before I die, I want to announce the new deputy," she said without barely any breath. "I'm sorry Tricklestep. The new deputy is Hollytail..." she never finished. The LightClan leader was dead.

CougarPelt put her nose in the leaders fur

Diamondkit walks over "What's wrong daddy?" she asks, not knowing much because she wasn't here long.

Tricklestep nods and looks at his feet sadly. (Why'd she change?)

"No!" Sagefur exclaimed. His nose was soaking with the tears. His white pelt, dyed with his mate's blood. "I'll never be happy without you. I'll kill myself!"


(Tricklestep never pays attention and she thinks that he doesn't seem to be very interested in what's going on in the Clan)
