Toxic looked at how hard he was trying, and she laughed. "You don't have to look at me," She told him. "But I really am sorry for treating you like that, Gob. I would never let that happen to you."

Goblin flicked his ears and smirked a bit. "It's not your fault," he woofed quietly.

Toxic smiled. "Well I sometimes think That it is my fault." she replied

"How so?" Goblin asked, a bit confused. He tilted his silver head to the side.

Toxica sighed. "I don't know. I've been snappy lately, and I don't know why. I've been thinking about... Things."

Goblin flicked his ears back to his skull and looked to his paws. He was curious, but shy to an immobilizing extent. "Um, ah- what kind of things?" he finally managed to ask.

Toxic looked up. "I don't belong here, Gob. I knew it as soon dru took me and my brother in. Blaze doesn't even come out. I feel so alone."

Goblin, still looking at his paws, "Dru wouldn't have taken you in if you didn't belong. She knows what she's doing."

Toxic sighed. "No one wants me here, so why bother? The wolf I like doesn't even like talking to me."
