Desert Rose

Desert Rose sighed as she came into her new hometown, Festival village. She looked around at all the different homes around but there weren't too many. She found 332 Artsy Avenue pretty easily. She smiled and walked inside, everything seemed to have been set up for her already. Flowers decorated the inside and empty pots of soil that she could tell were filled with seeds were in there, too. Her eyes widened at the welcoming and she smiled, walking inside her new home. She couldn't believe the ponies were so nice and welcoming here. Her horn glowed as she used her magic to take her saddle bags off of her and placed them over on the counter. She looked around, wide-eyed. She wondered then what exactly the ponies, pegasus, and other unicorns of this village would be like.

Nimble Bolt

Nimble Bolt looked around as she trotted into town and rolled her eyes at all the friendly ponies here. "Well maybe I'll meet someone. Let's just find where I'm gonna live first!" she said and then began to run. She raced past everyone, being nothing but a blue and pink streak as she did so. "Yahoo!" she cried and then skidded to a stop as she realized she passed 971 Canter Court. She backtracked and then finally found her small cottage. She 'pfft'd' and blew her hair out of her face as she did so though it went right back into place. "This dinky thing? Ha! Oh well, it's probably big enough to hold a few friends in here," she though, kicking the doors open and walking inside. The whole place was already furnished. She grinned. "Wow, those worker ponies are really nice," she said aloud, smiling. She looked around and then took her saddle bags off of her back, placing them in a corner of the room. "Hm... what to do first," she though out loud, putting a hoof on her chin in thought.

Choux trotted down the street leading to her house, reading out the business names that she passed. "Hmm...bleh, oh look, Snooze! And it's next to..a hat store? Eh, maybe I'll go check it out." She slowly raised a hoof to knock on the door, which had a cheery sign on it.

Moose looked at the door, her pupils growing large with excitement. She looked around the shop, making sure everything was stocked and announced; "It's open!" She almost frowned when she said that- was she being too mean... or demanding? She bit her lip.

Choux opened the door a crack. "Hello? Oh, hi! I've just moved here and I think my shop is going to be next to yours! It's a bakery! Heh!"
Idiot, idiot, idiot! She thought to herself. Forgot your name, too?
"And, erm, my name is Choux Pastry!" she stammered.

Moose smiled- happy to see her words had not offended the pony. She stood up straighter. "Hi, I'm Moose. Oh, you mean Snooze? The place next door? It smells so good over there, I'll have to go there during lunch break!" She smiled. "Oh, and my store- Ms. Moose's Hats and Headresses; were we specialize in wearable art, in the form of hats. Would you like to try one on?" Moose smiled until her cheeks hurt. In the book she had gotten from the library; How to run a Business for Dummies; it had said smiling would make a customer feel less threatened. Moose rubbed her cheek with her hoof.

Choux laughed-the pony looked like she was a bit uncomfortable. "Sure, I'd love to try one! Would you like to pick one out?" Grinning, she added "I'll save you a place at lunch. Oh, and you don't have to constantly smile, you look like your cheeks are about to burst!" Smiling, she followed the pony to the back.

Moose blushed a little bit. "Oh, yes... thank you. Anywhoo, let me go grab you a few hats to try on." Moose glanced at the pony briefly making sure she would pick good hats. She ran over to one of her racks. She ran her hoof through all of the hats, picking up a lavender hat shaped a bit like a cube, that had various patterns on each side. After putting the hat on her antler, she grabbed a feathery blue hat that would fit around the pony's horn. She placed it delicately on her antler, then brought them over to Choux.

Quantum smiled. "Do you want to come over to my house for snacks, games, and movies? Destiny and Pizazz will be there."

Choux smiled and took the blue hat that was placed on the antler of the other pony. "Thanks!" she said as she tried it on. "Excuse me, but, um, are those antlers? My grandmother was a...um, how to put this....moose. She married into a pony family and so I have some moose in me, but, if you don't, that was pointless!" She laughed nervously.
