Strongpaw's eyes flashed triumphantly as Yewstar welcomed Sandfur, then he stood and padded away, nose in the air.

Burnflame licked a paw and dragged it over his ear, then looked up as Yewstar started coughing. He hesitated for a moment, wondering if he should interfere, then darted forward.

"I'm fine, i'm fine." Yewstar said, recovering. "Just a bit of whitecough." he told Burnflame, turning back to Silverkit.


"Well, Silverkit, daughter of Nightwing and Frisk, welcome to SnowClan. I think i remember your mother. She was a warrior when i was a kit, i think. She had black fur, right?"

Burnflame looked suspiciously at his leader for a moment, then thought of asking something that had been on his mind for a few moons now.

James reached camp he turned to see if yellow paw was still following him

Yellowpaw followed James to the SnowClan camp, though his eyes glittered with suspicion. "Why are we here?" He whispered.

Jaypaw yawned, and watched as his sister went past him into the apprentices' den. "Training's a drag," He muttered. "And she just proved it."

Strongpaw was distracted by a moth, and he crouched down, stalking it across the clearing. He pounced on it, and smiled triumphantly as he felt it beneath his paws.

Nightkit scowled impatiently, tail lashing.

Darkflame glanced over his shoulder at Autumnheart, and, seeing she was occupied, poked his head into the nursery.

Softdawn nodded, watching their kits warmly.

Burnflame hesitated, scuffing his paws on the ground, then stepped forward. "Yewstar, I want to become an official medicine cat," He said.

Sandfur shook her head and stood up. "No. I don't belong there, I never did. No matter how much I loved Tabbypaw" she said confidently. Then, she went over to Strongpaw.

Nightkit made a sound of annoyance as yet another cat spoke to Yewstar. He wanted to find out who his father was, and Burnflame had said that this tom knew. He rolled his blue eyes, which were a darker shade than usual. Medicine cat. What a waste of battle skills.
