Lastsight shook her head. "No," She snapped, harder than she meant to. "I am not going to be a mother again."

Silver cringes. What had she done? Something wrong? Why did this cat hate her? She whimpers. The kit follows cringing.

Lastsight stalked down the path, staying ahead of Silver. She had spent many many moons healing the wounds made by the death of her mate and kit. She did not want those old scars to reopen, especially now, since the Clans seemed to be in trouble.

Silver looks sad, her eyes filling with tears as she heads to the camp.

Yewstar padded out of camp towards Lastsight, whiskers twitching with amusement. "What have you found now, Lastsight?" he inquired, sitting down and licking one paw casually before drawing it over one silky golden ear.

Softdawn turned her green-yellow eyes to the last kit. "What should we name him?" she asked Daggerclaw.

Nightkit raised his eyebrows at a golden tom who was speaking to a she-cat and marched over to interrogate him.

Darkflame hesitated at the entrance of the nursery, wanting to see his sister's kits but still hold his grudge against Daggerclaw at the same time.

Flopkit rolled over and opened his eyes.

"This is Silver," Lastsight reported. "A loner kit that Oakwhisker found in our territory." Her tail-tip twitched back and forth slightly, and she glanced at Silver before dipping her head to Yewstar, wanting to get away from the kit as soon as possible. She didn't dislike the young cat, she just knew that she'd hate herself if she went soft.
