Starlight's mind rushed with relief. She glanced down at Birdpaw. "Yeah, i'm fine." Maybe i should be silent every time he appears in my mind, she thought to herself.

Birdpaw smiled, "Okay." The young apprentice yelped lightly as claws raked across her cheek. She spun around and arched her back at a apprentice-aged rouge.

Starlight sighed. Thank StarClan they're not like their father, she thought quietly, smiling slightly. She lept at the apprentice-aged rogue, defending Birdpaw.

Adderpaw jumped at the rouge "Leave her alone!" He hissed

Birdpaw took a step back, her tail fluffed up. She wanted to thank them for defending her, but she didn't want to distract them.

The rouge wriggled out of the tangle and pelted away.

Adderpaw hissed as the rouge ran away "Keep off our territory!"

Starlight smiled with satisfaction. "Whimp," she muttered.
