Sky turned and lunged at Shayde. He bite and clawed at him untill he fell.
Shayde got up and bit Sky's neck. He threw her behind him, and walked towards Selene, Ahadi, and Amira.

Selene scented Ahadi on this female, she was his mate. "Beat it, Ahadi...you may as well leave too. As far as I'm concerned, my cubs don't have a father. They're not yours anymore." she said harshly but quietly. She looked at Sky, "Lay down, I'm weak but not weak enough for him to beat me." she stated but then took a step towards Shayde. She snarled and gave a roar worthy of a king.

[Temperance.]

Amira suddenly understood who this female was, seeing the cubs behind their mother she quickly said to Selene "Would you like me to hide your cubs with mine? I'd keep them safe while you fought off this lion." she said turning with a snarl to the huge oppressive lion who meant nothing good.

Selene bristled, "No, just watch them." she spat, usually she wouldn't be this hostile but then again these were her first cubs that lived more than a half hour.

"I have better things to do." Shayde replied, and darted off.

Sky got up weakly and limped towards the others. She layed down and smirked. "Congrats on the cubs."

Selene watched him and then looked at Sky, "You waste your breath on me, lay down so I can fix you up."

[Angry.Jackal]

Ahadi had run away. He hadn't heard any of their conversation. Angry, he ran as long as he could until he felt like collapsing and then ran faster. He ran until he was sure he was about three days walking distance away from them, and then he stopped at a pond. He collapsed on the pebbly shore and lie there panting, for hours. He wished he could outrun his families, his mate, all the lionesses he had mated, his cubs, his brother, his past. He wanted to escape it all..

[Temperance.]

Amira relaxed slightly now that the threat was gone, she turned and eyed the cubs "They're very pretty, your cubs, what are their names?" Amira asked, feeling curious despite herself. "And where is Ahadi?" she asked looking around "I scented him but now he's gone..."

"Im fine." With that, she limped back into the forest.

Selene noticed Ahadi had left, she wished she could have followed. She ached physically and mentally, she waited for Sky but her mind strayed back to Ahadi. She looked at Amira, "Theo and Vixen....just let him sort things out." she sighed and licked her cubs. She laid down, "Do you love him?"
