Rainsplash scarfed down the vole hungrily, not noticing what Ashcloud had done. “Delicious!” she praised, swiping her pink tongue around her jaws. She sat up, but then coughed. “Ashcloud?” she rasped. “I think I’m catching something.”

Ashcloud’s eyes widened. “Oh my StarClan,” she squeaked, nervous as a kit in the presence of a badger. “Um, Rainsplash, you just ate a vole I coughed on.” Rainsplash shrugged. “It’s okay,” she mewed. “I’ll be better in no time.”

Wildpaw’s eyes widened. Ospreypaw with Nightpaw? For a brief flicker of a second, jealousy blazed in Wildpaw’s peridot eyes. She was mad. She had a bit of a crush on Nightpaw, and he was her friend! She shook her head, then asked, “Where? Show me.”
