Ashcloud purred. She saw Mothgaze’s stare and decided to explain. “I’m lucky for two reasons,” she mewed. “I have a loving mate.” She flicked her tail towards Nightshade and gestured for him to join her. “And I am expecting his kits,” she added with a gentle smile. She licked her belly again. “I think three or four. As you can see it hasn’t even been one moon and I’m already looking like I’m gonna go into labor any second.” She laughed.

Mothgaze smiled. "I wish I had a mate. I've always wanted a family." she meowed happily.

Ashcloud purred. “Someday I’m sure you will,” she mewed encouragingly. She brushed her tail comfortingly on Mothgaze’s shoulders, then dropped it to the grassy ground.

Mothgaze smiled. "Thank you. Congratulations on the kits by the way." she meowed.

Ashcloud shrugged. “I can only pray to StarClan that my birth will be as painless as possible and that I won’t die going into labor,” she mewed. She stared at Nightshade lovingly. “This is my mate, Nightshade,” she meowed. She padded up to him and wound herself around him.

"May StarClan light your path. I'm going to go meet some other cats." she meowed. She padded off to meet someone.

Shadowheart felt kind of lonely since Fernfur couldn't be with him. He padded around quietly and scanned the area for cats that were sitting alone. Then he gave up and sat down near some of his clan members, still looking out towards the other clans, though.

Larkpaw growled, "You'll need to speak with Shadowstar... But-" He stopped himself, not wanting the clan to seem weak without their leader. Turning to Junerain, he asked, "Should we keep him somewhere until Shadowstar returns...?"

Ospreypaw woke up, and limped groggily into the clearing. "What's happening...?" She mewed sleepily, rubbing her eyes with her paws.
