Flash jumped, falling on her back. She got to her paws and said,"Who is it?" Narrowing her eyes, she shook the dust off of her pelt.

"Someone you know," I answered simply. I licked my lips. Maybe if she didn't know it was me we could get a conversation going without stiffness.

Flash perked her ears, but said,"Ok....why did you scare me...was that on accident?"

Oh . . . "Yeah," I said. My voice was convincing, luckily. I was good at lying by now.

"Oh." Flash said, thinking for a moment before saying,"So why exactly are you here watching me hunt? I am not a trainee or anything."

"I got bored," I said simply. Well, that was partially true. I was bored, but that's not why I was watching her.
