Thud!
The gazelle hit the ground and flipped several times over, prisoner to the momentum it had built up while running. The cheetah clinging to it's back rolled with it, his fur nothing but a white-and-gray flash as they tumbled across the open plain. The finally came to a stop with the hooved animal on top of the predator. It gave a little shreik and struggled to get up. But the cheetah wasn't giving up that fast. He sprang, digging his claws into the throat of the animal. He had become massive and ripped with muscles. The gazelle stood no chance.
The cheetah stood panting, waiting for the sharp pains to go away. He turned around and licked at the scar he had recieved from being gored by a wildebeast. He looked down at the gazelle through his one amber eyes. They other had been lost bringing down another of it's kind. He was barely recognizable. His fur had grown messy and dirty. It was far from white. He was criss-crossed with scars and you could count his ribs with ease. He didn't know what to do with himself now.
The white-and-gray cheetah trembled. Flashbacks of past times flooded his mind. He hated not being able to hold on to them. His head throbbed as he sat down, trying to grasp the image of Tumai's face. She must be beside herself now. He wanted to be back so badly. He snorted and stood up, leaving his kill untouched. If only he could remember the way home. Then it started to rain.
The pale cheetah snorted and pinned his ears against his skull. He swore under his breath and trotted off into a completely random direction. He though he heard something, quite faint...it was familiar somehow. It was the sound of another cheetah. His mind clicked and he shifted gears, bounding towards the sound. He saw something through the rain. No...it couldn't be. as he got closer, he realized it had to be. "Tumai!" He screamed, then raced to the figure. He reached it, and...crshed into something extremely hard. He bounced back, landing on his back. It knocked the air out of his lungs. He choked and gasped, trying to get his breath back. He glanced up at the object. Where he thought Tumai had been, there was a small tree. The disapointment hit Click like a freight train. The king lay back on his side and let out an agonized scream. He knew this was going to be happening soon. He'd see and hear things. Being alone in some desolate plane could crumble a full-grown cheetah.
Then he heard the noise again. Click pinned his ears and snarled. He forced himself to rise to his battered paws. His head pounded and he could feel blood trickling down from his temple. He saw two figures through the now pouring rain. They were so much more vivid than the vision of Tumai. He crept closer with a good feeling about this. Then a scent hit him. Sadness, fear and hurt...along with confusion and...Tumai. He knew it was her.
Then something hit him. There was another figure, another scent. This one was male. The fur on the back of Click's neck stood up and he bared his teeth into a snarl. He moved closer. "Tumai?" He called out, really hoping he wasn't talking to another tree.
((Whew, that took a while xD And I didn't even explain everything...))
