- I suppose that would be a question you would have to address with our leader, the she-wolf had said, and saying it, she actually got off it. Bolo heaved an inward sigh of relief -- he hated fighting and avoided it as much as possible, and he was just thankful these weren't violent wolves. He'd come across quite a lot of packs that didn't like him and drove him out immediately. But then again, that was after they met what they called their pack 'alpha'. Bolo's ears drooped.
"Oh. Alrighty then." Bolo got up to his feet meekly, his head ducked. "D'you, d'you think it would be okay for me to talk to your leader, then? Your leader is called an 'alpha', right? Does that mean you're a follower? What's it like being a member of a pack?" The more that Bolo spoke, the more he rambled on and the more he rambled on, the more he forgot his initial response of trepidation; instead he became more and more carefree, and soon his tail was wagging with his tongue hanging out from his mouth. "Oh, I've always wanted to be a member of a pack. Like, belong to a real family and everything. Are you like, a family here and stuff? Which family member are you?" He only paused in his rambling to scratch his ear with his hind foot.
