Isolde:
Silence. That's all that the alpha female could ask for as she paced through her pack's territory. Her long, white pelt was in a mess since she was a bit more worried about this danger that lurked instead of her appearance. Her dark eyes were on the forest tops above her, the sound of chirping birds ringing throughout her ears. She was obviously annoyed with the sound of the chirping birds, and that annoyance showed deeply as her pawsteps hit the soft, lightly vegetated ground below her.
What was this danger that she had been warned about in her dream? That's all that ran through Isolde's mind as she continued through the forest. Dew shall mix with blood in a dangerous dance of death, the ancient shaman's voice rang throughout her head. She had recognized the ancient she-wolf at first, an elderly black wolf that had been believed to be immortal due to how long she had lived, but she thought nothing of it. Then the empty, hollow words started to spill from the she-wolf's lips, literally, and Isolde had started to wonder if this was true or not. She couldn't be quite sure about it all.
All of a sudden, something ran into the alpha female's back, and she whirled around while snapping at whatever was there. She looked at the wolf that had run into her, the female omega of Dark Moon pack, a wolf that she hadn't grown to know. For a moment, she just stared down at the omega without saying anything then hesitated for a moment. Without thinking, she allowed the omega passage and then watched her scamper off towards deeper into the forest. With a sigh and a shake of the head, she headed back towards her camp.
It was a few minutes before the she-wolf arrived at the shared camp. She looked around, seeing that no other wolves were awake, but she didn't mind that. The more quieter, the better in her opinion. She then trotted towards the alpha's den and settled down in front of her it then started the tedious task of grooming herself.
Kali:
It was that pestering bird that had woken the omega up yet again. She opened a crimson red eye to look around at the all too familiar darkness of the omega's den, and she hoped that she hadn't woken up late again. With that thought on her mind, she stood up and shook her dark gray and black pelt free of any bugs that might have decided to cling to her pelt in the middle of the night. She stretched her legs then headed out her den, hoping that she wasn't late for her daily chores amongst the packs.
Of course, she was late like usual. How could Kali know what time it was whenever there was absolutely no natural lighting in her den? Why did she have to get the den without the lighting? That's the perks of being an omega... she thought miserably to herself as she did the daily, tedious tasks of an omega. It didn't seem to her that there were many wolves awake as far as she could see; that just made the task of cleaning out the dens far easier. She was soon done in a few minutes and the challenge of going out of the camp was made real.
It was her little secret, sneaking out into the forest. If caught, she could easily be banished from the pack, but she wouldn't mind that at all; she actually didn't like being in a pack that much. At least I would be able to travel where ever I want to... she thought as she slipped out of the camp into the forest. She hoped that she wouldn't be caught by a wolf.
Of course, she just had to be caught. About five minutes into her walk, she ran into the alpha female of Blessed Royalty. She hesitated whenever the alpha swung around to look at her, and she knew that she was in trouble. A moment of silence passed, and her fear swelled larger in her chest. Then without saying anything, the alpha stepped to the side and her pass. Kali scampered off deeper into the forest.
It shocked Kali as she scampered away from the alpha that she had been let off so easily. It then occurred to her that the alpha female hadn't yet learned the ways of the pack as she sat down under a tree to watch the sky. This is just what I needed... she thought while shutting her eyes and becoming oblivious to the world.
