Personality: Like many individuals, Lyla has her good and her bad days. At best, she is loyal, friendly, but never silly. She is not the silly type. At worst, she can be rather short-tempered an irritable. However, she can always be very stubborn and slightly hot-headed, though she will back down if the matriarch wants her to. She can also be a bit proud and very fearless, she doesn't really fear anything, but she can sometimes push her luck too far. All in all, Lyla may seem like a stubborn, hot-headed girl, but if you catch her in a good mood while getting to know her, you may end up with a stubbornly loyal friend.

Her eyes are amber, and her right ear has a v-shaped cut from a bramble bush she somehow got stuck in a year ago.

Zuri crept forward to the dead water buffalo and sniffed at it's side. She pulled her head back a bit smelling the disease on it's skin. She glanced upwards to the rumbling beast maybe a thousand feet away from her. Two strange creatures watched from the back standing on their hind legs. She ignored them and lifted up her head and called her clan. She watched the creatures start to fiddle with some strange object with their front paws. She ignored them and let out another call.
Amadi slunk away from his resting spot, having been chased out yet again by a crabby female. He heard a hyena calling, most likely a spotted. Not wanting to get tangled up in that mess, he lied down giving up of finding a spot that protected him from the sun that burned through his fur. He sighed and rested his head on his paws. He wished he had been born female so he wouldn't be bullied around so much.

Lyla laid down in her favorite spot, feeling very exhausted and in a rather crabby mood. It was rather hot out, and hot days and Lyla didn't mix very well. She was just resting her head, about to fall asleep, when she heard the matriarch call. She lifted her head, wondering, What on Earth happened? And why does it have to be in the middle of daylight when the sun is at its hottest? She stood up, and flicked an ear, panting. Oh, well. I guess I can't ignore a summon from the matriarch. She trudged to where she heard the call, but noticed the strange creatures. Humans? She loped to where Zuri was calling, keeping her eye on the creatures. "'Lo, Zuri," she managed, sounding slightly irritated but still more focused on the creatures.

Caliban- *Sits down under a tree and watches a pack of Antelope,eyeing them to see out the weakest and slowest*



Kamari- *Trots up to Zuri in curiosity. She looks up and smiles at her* Hi! Im Kamari!! Whats your name??!! *She said in a loud but happy vioce.* I've never seen a Hyena like you! You kind of look like my mom! But...my moms not here any more....she passed on...so did my dad.. *Looks down as a small tear streams down her face*

Lyla flicked an ear, ignoring the third hyena. She narrowed her eyes at the creatures, a growl rumbling in her throat. If they are humans, they had better not pull out any of their guns on us! If they even have guns, which I certainly hope they don't. The fur on the back of her neck was raised, and she gnashed her teeth at the creatures. They did not make her any more pleased then she already was, and she wasn't pleased at all. They had better go away. They could summon brown hyenas! I don't trust them any more than I trust a lion.

The humans spoke in their strange language and soon the beast they rode around in rumbled off, leaving a disgusting stench behind them. Zuri said sniffing at Kamari curiously,"You don't smell like the brown hyenas, or my clan. Who do you belong to? Is there another clan?" She narrowed her eyes suspiciously. She pulled away from the pup and nodded her head in greeting to Lyla.

Kamari- My mama is a Spotted Hyena. But my daddy is a Brown Hyena. So im a hybrid! You look alot like my mama too! *She smiled at her*

All Zuri heard was 'part brown hyena'. She snarled and snapped,"Go! Get away from here, half breed!" She only saw her enemy in this pup and she swiped her left paw it it. She snapped at the pup wanting it gone as soon as possible. Her tracking collar started to irritate her again but ignored it for the most part. Every matriarch before her wore one and she was no different.
