Owlmask glanced at Waterpaw. "Hunting?" she mewed then licked her paw

Waterpaw smile widened. "Great! I'm going to catch a mouse today. Big enough to feed the whole clan!"

Streamtail awoke with a start. She stood up and walked to the apprentice den, wasting no time in waking Windpaw. She spoke softly to her. "We are going to start with the elder's den. No, no mouse bile. Just maybe cleaning out their den. And maybe even Cloudnose's den. If their moss is fresh, though, we will start your hunting training. Let's get moving to finish the work, and maybe even do some training, if we have time." She smiled and walked out into the bleak day, with Windpaw following close at her heels.

Sunkit meowed loudly as he could, waking half the clan. Some of the cats snarled at him from inside their dens, while some muttered sleepily about the loudness. Streamtail cuffed him on the way to the forest, and snarled, "Keep it down. Some cats are trying to sleep." With that he kept quiet, but bit on a mouse bone to have something to eat.

Windpaw had been awake when Streamtail walked in. She had woken before the sun rose, her excitement keeping her from slumber. Windpaw quickly followed her mentor, eyes bright. Her pale pelt gleamed from the washing she had been doing.

Lynxbound stretched and sat up. He realized he had fallen asleep beside a tree, next to the warriors' den. He shook his head and yawned. He stood and flexed his back legs, sniffing. Lynxbound padded towards the apprentices' den, flicking his tail at Streamtail.

Owlmask glanced at Waterpaw. "Hunting?" she mewed then licked her paw

Waterpaw smile widened. "Great! I'm going to catch a mouse today. Big enough to feed the whole clan!"

"Oh really?" Owlmask mewed while heading towards the camp enterance.

"Yeah!", said Waterpaw, bouncing after her. "And, if we see a fox or badger, I'll be there to protect you and the camp!"

Streamtail flicked her ear as Lynxbound walked by, and caught his light yellow eye. She swiveled her ears back, and strode forward with strong will, padding over to the elder's den. "Need any help in the den, Brackenclaw?" meowed Streamtail to the strong tom. Without waiting for an answer, she started rolling the nearest nest, her dark eyes intent on the work. "Windpaw, roll up the closest dirty nest. We'll get moss soon," Streamtail muttered. She was proud of Windpaw of getting up so early, but she did not show her pleasure to the apprentice.

Sunkit snarled at the ball of fluff, hissing at his loudest growl, "Deputy, attack on the side of this dog. He shall be dead be gone by sunfall. This dog needs to be taught a lesson!" With that, he pounced on the moss ball, hissing and mewling, clinging to the ball with his claws, and sinking his teeth into the furry ball. "Kits shall be kits," some warriors muttered with exasperation.

Blackstorm nodded. Flicking her tail, she padded up to Streamtail and Windpaw. "Mind if we help?"

Windpaw nodded to her mentor, wanting to please her. She scooted inside and began to work. She didn't mind the job too much, she just wanted to do it for the Clan. She pushed the dirty moss into a pile, keeping it away from the elder.

Streamtail nodded, her brown ears flicking as he walks in. Her mind clouded, thinking constantly. She thought of that chill down her spine last night, and her dream. She thought of the mottled brown tabby with pale yellow eyes, and the sweet, long-furred she-cat. She thought of the little kit, and the grey-white tom. She thought of everything.
