Arrisa continued through the forest, and her stomach growled a little. She ignored it and pressed on. She stopped when her paw landed in a puddle of....Blood? It was hot and slick, but Arissa couldn't quite make out what it was. It was dark in color, but it didn't smell like blood....Wondering what it was, she followed the trail of the strange dark liquid. Eventually, it stopped at a tree. She could smell more of it up above; thinking it might still be in the tree, she rammed her shoulder into the trunk of the tree. Something wobbled up above, then finally fell to the ground with a clang. She blinked, realizing it was one of the birds. So, their blood was black? Arissa stared at the thing laying on the ground, wondering what she should do with it. Should she leave it? Or maybe she could find something out about the other birds from this corpse. I'll take it to Kite and the others, she decided. Maybe he'll know what to do with it. Careful not to deal further damage to the metallic beast, she picked up the bird and carried it back through the forest, having to stop several times so she could manuver the thing around trees and branches. She was glad, though, that it seemed like the other birds had avoided her for the time being.
