He began groom his dark fur, his rough tongue moving the fur against, and then with the grain. He kept the continuous motion on until he had one, then both forelegs completely cleared off mud and matts. All the while he purred, and when he finished, he laid back with a contented sigh. He was still in the shade, the sun merely a tail-length away, but far enough that he was happy. Noticing the she-cats sneezing, his brows furrowed. Bambi shook her head."It's just more cats are in here than there have been in years." She sniffed and curled her tail around her back paw. She purred at the tom lightly, getting more used to his presence. She lied her ears back on her head and yawned. Bambi blinked around the room. She looked up and saw a few little birds on the window sill. She stretched and stiffened her legs. Bambi rolled onto her sie and cleaned her stomach.
