Brownclaw
Brownclaw grabbed a vole from the pile and went to sit at the nettle patch, watching her leader. She started to think about Ravenpaw, and what they could do. After she had finished she walked over to the apprentice den and poked her head inside.
"Ravenpaw?" She called into the shadow3s, tring not to wake the other apprentices if they were asleep.

Blueheart
Blueheart looked up from the herbs she was going through and smiled.
"Come in, Owlstar." She meowed, standing up. She walked over to him, then sat down and neatly rested her tail over her paws. "What is it?" She asked quietly.

Jaystorm
Jaystorm sighed, then turned to his apprentice.
"What would you like to do? Offensive or defensive?" He asked his apprentice, eyes gleaming. Jaystorm only wanted to bond with Silverpaw, and make him a gtreat warrior. He only wanted Silverpaw to appreciate him a bit more. The way Silverpaw acted, it made him wonder if he was a bad mentor. Jaystorm noted to ask Hawkfall later.

Palepaw
Palepaw smiled.
"Thanks Sparrowdapple." He said quietly, then turned to continue out of the camp. He was glad Sparrowdapple thought he was a good hunter, it made him feel good. It made him feel like he was ready to be a warrior.

Brackenstar
Brackenstar could tell Rosepaw was tense about the assesment, but he didn't say anything as they walked out onto the moor.
"You'll do fine." He said when the reached a oucropping of boulders, gently touching her shoulder with his tail. He smiled down at her. "This is where I leave you. The assesment is to see how well you hunt, and how much prey you catch. All the prey you catch will go to the pile. I'm sure everyone will appreciate having a good hunter around." He said.

Thornfur
Thornfur turned on Mudpaw.
"I need you to go collect some borage, ok? The queens will need it soon." He ordered before turning back to his herbs along the back of his den. He was still thinking, and he knew if he sent Mudpaw away it would let him get his work done.

Maplefur
Maplefur shook her head, then hissed.
"I smell dog." She said, scenting the air again. It was coming from upwind, so it probably hadn't caught wind of them yet. But, Maplefure turned to walk along the edge of the hollow anyway. If there was a dog around there surly wouldn't be any prey.

Skyheart
Skyheart relaxed a bit.
"My name is Skyheart, Deputy of Riverclan. What are you doing here so early?" He called back over the river, then thought again and slipped into the water and started towards the cat. He pulled himself out upstream of the she-cat, then made his way back towards her. "i'm Skyheart, deputy of Riverclan. What brings you to the river so early?" He said again.

Ravenpaw||ThunderClan

Ravenpaw looked up from her bedding that she was readjusting from when she slept in it. "Oh, hello, Brownclaw." she greeted formally and finished fixing her bedding. Once it was to her satisfaction, she smiled and turned to pad over to her mentor. "Are we going out to train?" she asked.

Owlstar||ThunderClan

Owlstar dipped his head to the she-cat before speaking. "All I wanted to know is if you've had any dreams from StarClan." he meowed simply, swishing his bushy tail back and forth just above the ground.

Silverpaw||ThunderClan

Silverpaw gaped his jaw in a yawn for a long moment before answering. "I don't really care. Isn't it your job to decide my lesson?" he asked, cocking his head to the side as he looked at Jaystorm. "Either way, it doesn't matter." he added with a shrug, "Let's do offensive."

Sparrowdapple//WindClan

Sparrowdapple smiled and looked forward as they walked, so he wouldn't step on something that would damage his paw further. "That's right, you're going to be a Warrior soon, aren't you?" he asked, looking back at Palepaw.

Rosepaw//WindClan

Rosepaw gulped. She would be left alone to hunt this time. I guess that's what happens for an assessment... She guessed as she looked back at Brackenstar. She smiled softly before looking forward. "Okay..." she mewed softly and began to pad out to search for prey.

Mudpaw}}RiverClan

Mudpaw nodded and grinned. "Alright!" he squeaked, standing up and running out of the den. He glanced around a few times before padding out of camp to where he knew the borage grew. Alright, let's get this done.

Mousepaw__ShadowClan

A shiver rippled down Mousepaw's back at the thought of a loose dog in the territory. "Uh, that dog won't scare me none." he meowed strongly, even though a quiver a fear could be detected in his tone. Sighing, he followed after Maplefur, not wanting to be alone.

Goldenpoppy||ThunderClan

Goldenpoppy took a small step back when the RiverClan cat moved towards her, but shook it off. "I uh, just wanted to get some time to myself before the others got up is all." she explained, flicking her ringed tail. "What are you doing here?" she asked in an echo of the Deputy's question.

Brownclaw
Brownclaw nodded.
"I was thinking I could show you some fighting techniques today." She said, backing out of the den. "You should eat first though, I told Owlstar We'd go on the evening patrol. The way I'm planning, we probably won't have time to eat after training." She informed her apprentice.

Blueheart
Blueheart closed her eyes and though for a moment.
"As I see it, Starclan approves of your leadership and the way the clan is going right now. We are all healthy, the prey is running good, we'll have new kits soon, and we don't have any hostile enemies to speak of." Blueheart said after awhile, opening her eyes. "Everything is fine." She concluded softly.

Jaystorm
"Ok then." Jaystorm said, crouching low. He swiped at Silverpaw with his front paw, barley just missing his apprentice's ear. He stood up and licked his paw. "That was a Frontal Blow. Remember to keep your claws seathed when doing that. If you do it correctly, you should land a paw on their head before they know what hit them." Jaystorm explained.

Palepaw
Palepaw nodded.
"At least I hope to be, its all up to Brackenstar, isn't it? And when you think I'm ready?" Palepaw asked, following his mentor at a distance, so not to crowd the warrior.

Brackenstar
Brackenstar headed in another direction, careful to keep Rosepaw's scent as he stalked through the grass. He stayed downwind of the apprentice, and made sure to stop often to let Rosepaw get a distance away before he started to follow.

Thornfur
Thornfur appreciated the quiet, but he also missed his playful apprentice. He sighed. He knew he was such a fickle cat, even Starclan couldn't help him. Thornfur began to go through his herbs, picking out leaves and seeds that had gone bad or dried up over time. A Medicine Cat's work was hard, but Thornfur loved helping his clan.

Maplefur
Maplefur laughed, once again calm.
"Every smart cat in the forest would know to be afraid of dogs, Mousepaw." She informed him, looking back at him playfully. "But I appreciate your strength. I'll be sure to tell Amberstar I have a strong apprentice." She continued, troting ahead, scenting for prey as she went.

Skyheart
Skyheart smiled.
"Same reason as you." He admitted. He looked back across the river, knowing he had duties to his clan, and that he shouldn't be with Goldenpoppy anyway. Sky heart turned to look back at Goldenpoppy. "Well, I'm sure both of our clans are getting to wonder where we are." He said.

Ravenpaw||ThunderClan

Ravenpaw nodded, following after Brownclaw. "Alright. Let's see.." she murmured, padding towards the fresh-kill pile. Her green eyes scanned the various types of kill that had been collected before picking out a choice sparrow for herself. She smiled as she took it a few tail lengths away and started to eat, neatly and in the order she usually does; wings first.

Owlstar||ThunderClan

Owlstar smiled, glad to hear that things were going well and would remain that way for hopefully a while. "That's good to hear, that's for sure." he purred, curling and uncurling his tail. "So how is training with Specklepaw going?" he asked.

Silverpaw||ThunderClan

Silverpaw jumped back when his mentor nearly hit him with his paw. Shaking it off, he let his fur fall flat on his shoulders before looking back at Jaystorm. "So that's it? I can't use my claws?" he asked with a puzzled look.

Sparrowdapple//WindClan

Sparrowdapple nodded. "That's right. Once I feel you're fit to become a Warrior, I shall speak to Brackenstar before your assessment." he explained, flicking the tip of his tail.

Rosepaw//WindClan

Rosepaw glanced around, various familiar scents filled her nostrils as she began her hunt. Her paws were tingling with anxiety as the thought of not catching anything filled her mind. She sighed and shook her head, but suddenly, the scent of prey wavered past. Perking her ears, in the distance, she could see a rabbit. A smile formed on her muzzle as she fell into the Hunter's Crouch, carefully stalking forward as she neared her first catch of the day.

Mudpaw}}RiverClan

Scenting the air as he continued his search for borage, Mudpaw sighed with relief when he finally caught the scent again. Cheerfully, he padded onwards towards the scent, carefully picking his way around some sharper rocks as he headed towards the plant. Finally, he found the spot where the plant was growing. He grinned as he began to pick away at the plant, carefully gathering as much as he could carry. Once he had enough, he turned around and began to head back.

Mousepaw__ShadowClan

Mousepaw grinned sheepishly as he padded after his mentor a bit before veering off to the right. His nose went back up into the air as he continued his hunt. Maybe that darn dog scared all of them little critters away. He guessed, flicking his tail occasionally.

Goldenpoppy||ThunderClan

Goldenpoppy glanced back into the forest where she knew her Clan was. Perhaps Skyheart was right, their Clans could be wondering about them; more him than her anyways. With a sigh, she turned back to look at the RiverClan Deputy, "I geuss you're right." she meowed, angling her body as she began to turn. "I guess I'll see you around. Most likely at the next Gathering." she mewed, flicking the tip of her tail as she began to head back.

Brownclaw
Brownclaw sat by and waited for her apprentice to eat, her ears keen to every sound. She looked up at the sky, where puffy grey clouds were floating. Brownclaw wondered if it was going to rain; she hoped not, it would be the gathering soon.

Blueheart
Blueheart smiled at the mention of her apprentice.
"Good. I can see that Starclan guides him well." She reported happily, her tail swishing from side to side.

Jaystorm
"Must I remind you that it is a warriors duty to protect their territory and hunt in it? It is unhoroable to fight without a meaning, and when you come apon that, keep your honor by fighting with honor." Jaystorm growled, unseathing his claws. "Each attack varies, you never know; some day you might learn that." He said bitterly, looking away.

Palepaw
Palepaw nodded, following his mentor's words.
"I understand." Palepaw said, smiling up at Sparrowdapple.

Brackenstar
Brackenstar stalked through the grass, careful to keep Rosepaw in his sight. So far so good. He could see her just about to give chase to a young rabbit, her first catch. Brackenstar smiled, Rosepaw was a great hunter, and he knew she would have no trouble catching enough prey to pass the assesment.

Maplefur
Maplefure didn't mind at Mousepaw's wandering off. She knew he would return to her sooner or later, and she knew he was smart enough to run away from a dog. She scented the air again, catching the faint smell of mouse; an almost rare piece of prey in Shadowclan Territory. She crouched, slowly stalking through the boggy ground, careful not to make a sound as she stopped, inches away from a grey speckled mouse.

Skyheart
Skyheart nodded a goodbye, then turned and slipped back into the river. He knew he was needed back at camp, he knew he was, he just didn't want to go back. On his way he spotted Mudpaw and veered to meet him.
"Need any help?" He asked quietly.

[Hey, just wanted to tell you I'm leaving Monday and coming back on Friday, so I'm not going to be here.]

Ravenpaw||ThunderClan

Ravenpaw carefully ate at her prey. Picking away at certain parts of the bird as she swiftly hurried to try and finish it so she could go hunting. After a while, she finally managed to finish it and looked over at Brownclaw, "I finished, Brownclaw." she meowed.

Owlstar||ThunderClan

Owlstar nodded in approval. "That's good. It's nice to see that she is adapting nicely to her new position in the Clan." he meowed, slightly wondering where the she-cat was at anyways.

Silverpaw||ThunderClan

He had to admit, Jaystorm's outburst frightened him a bit, but he wasn't going to admit that freely. Instead, he sighed, "Alright, alright. I'll learn in time." he growled, narrowing his eyes.

Sparrowdapple//WindClan

Sparrowdapple smiled and nodded. "Very good." he meowed, flicking his Apprentice's shoulders with his tail. Looking forward, he glanced around. "Alright. Smell anything?"

Rosepaw//WindClan

Rosepaw smiled as she got closer and closer to her target. Okay...I can do this.. She thought with a quiet gulp. She crouched lower down and crept closer and closer. Once she was close enough, she leapt and pounced onto the young rabbit. After a moment of brief struggle, the siamese she-cat smiled and finished off the rabbit.

Mousepaw__ShadowClan

Mousepaw glanced around, feeling a bit bad that he couldn't find anything to bring back to the Clan. So much for findin' a little critter to take back with us. I wonder if Maplefur found anythin'. He wondered, looking back in the direction that he had left the she-cat.

Mudpaw}}RiverClan

Mudpaw glanced up at Skyheart and nodded. "Can ya take half of these? It's borage." he meowed, setting half of the herb down on the ground and pawed it next to the Deputy. "So what are you doing out here? It's sort of early."

Brownclaw looked around at the sound of her name, then flicked her tail and troted over to her apprentice.
"Are you ready?" She meowed, looking towards the tunnel leading out of camp.

Blueheart
Blueheart nodded.
"I believe she is, and I think Starclan does too." She said quietly, looking up at the sky.

Jaystorm
Jaystorm looked back at his apprentice, eyes narrowed.
"Don't get that tone with me, Silverpaw. If I was any other cat I would claw your ears off for not listening." He snapped, then turned and walked back a few paces. He didn't know why, but Silverpaw was just getting to him; and he wondered, was he a very bad mentor?

Palepaw
Palepaw lifted his nose to the air, parting his mouth just enough to let the scents of Windclan territory wash over him. He sneezed, then returned to his original pose.
"I don't know. There is a faint smell of rabbit, but... the heather smell is tickling my nose. I can't tell." He admitted, rubbing his nose with a paw to get the smell out.

Brackenstar
Brackenstar smiled at his apprentice's first catch of the day. He could see it as a sure sign her hunt would be a good one.

Maplefur
Maplefur continued towards the mouse, careful to step lightly on the ground. It only took her seconds to streak from the shadows and take the killing bite of the mouse. She turned and troted back the way she had come, looking around for Mousepaw.

Skyheart
Skyheart took the mouthful of borage, then gave Mudpaw a commanding look, and started back to camp. No way he was going to tell any cat about his morning leave, and especially the Thunderclan cat he had met.

Ravenpaw looked up at her mentor and nodded. "Yup." she meowed, standing up and burying a the remaining bones of her prey. Covering the ground back neatly, the ebony Apprentice began to pad towards the camp entrance, knowing that Brownclaw would easily catch up with her.

.:Owlstar:.

Owlstar nodded, "So are you sure everything is alright?" he asked. He couldn't help but be a little paranoid, after all, StarClan was unpredictable, as was nature itself. The large tabby flicked his ears, silently listening to the sounds of the camp as he spoke with Blueheart.

.:Silverpaw:.

Silverpaw sighed. With a roll of his green eyes, he flicked his tail boredly and watched his mentor, "Whatever. So now what?" he asked, tone dry and uncaring, matching to that of his bored expression.

.:Sparrowdapple:.

Sparrowdapple sighed, but nodded his head, "It's alright." he meowed, looking up he sniffed the air. Catching the scent of the rabbit more easily than Palepaw, he flicked his tail in the more eastward direction, "That way." he meowed, looking back at his Apprentice.

.:Rosepaw:.

Carefully stepping back from her first catch, Rosepaw looked around a few times before padding back and grabbing it's scruff. Pulling it off to the side, she set it near some stray brush, so it would be protected enough until she came back for it. Lifting her nose back up in the air, she could just make out the scent of a mouse. Glancing around, she followed her nose towards the scent, heading north from where she was and towards ThunderClan.

.:Mousepaw:.

Mousepaw paraded back to where he had strayed apart from Maplefur with a mouse dangling in his jaw. Proudly, he found his mentor and padded up to her, Dropping his prey at his paws, he grinned, "Look, Maplefur! I caught me a mouse!" he purred, flicking his tail happily.

.:Mudpaw:.

Mudpaw rushed after the Deputy, trying to match his longer strides, but with his short legs, he couldn't really. Pushing with all his might, he made it to at least a tail-length or so behind the Tom. Now satisfied, Mudpaw kept running back to camp. Yuck! Skyheart reeks of ThunderClan. Was he by the border?
