The cool, crisp morning breeze ruffled Kaluah's grey fur, she growled lowly and hopped up on a ledge, looking out over the land. Narrowing her blue eyes, she looked around for any danger, it seemed there was none - yet. Kaluah jumped off the ledge, grazing her paw on a rock. She whimpered slightly, but trotted off in to the grassy field, limping slightly. Raising her nose in the air, she smelled something in the distance, maybe a canine, she wasn't sure though. She sighed and walked around the edge of a forest, looking for a stream or river to wash her paw in.
The female wolf walked slowly through the forest, the birds chirping made a peaceful sound, but she couldn't focus on all the sounds of the forest because of her paw. She came across a small brook in the forest, she padded up to the bank of the water, her paws making prints in the mud. Jumping in, she yelped as the water splashed on her, washing over the cut. She became used to the water, then continued wading through. She jumped out quickly, forgetting about her precious bracelet with feathers attached to it. Shaking to get off the water, she ran out of the forest, the wind felt exceptionally cold on her wet pelt.
