Caeand Flintlock
"Well, Im still confused as to how we got here in the first place." Flintlock said flatly. Cae was at his side, sniffing the ground and air for scents.
"I don't like it either, but maybe it's for the better. You never know." Cae said, looking up at him. He shook his head.
"You're always the optimistic one. I don't like the sand." Flintlock replied. She was a soft creature, naive. It was up to him to protect her. They may have been the same age physically, but Cae was much younger mentally. He had to look out for her constantly. There was suddenly an eerie howl in the distance. both wolves pricked their ears. There had to be a pack. Cae took several steps back while Flint lowered his ears and growled.
"Do you think they're nice?" Cae asked, her tail between her legs. "Should we go to them or let them come to us? I hope they don't hurt us..."
"I won't let that happen." Flint said boldly. He began to stride forward and Cae hesitantly followed him.
