Kumo stepped into view, smiling weakly at her. "Hello there. Who do I have the pleasure of addressing?" He cocked his head, holding it up high to get a proper look at her. "I'm Kumo, ex military and police dog turned feral. Although I do like to keep my mind on my previous work..." He shrugged, blinking at Birch.

Wow this wolf was up-front and cocky. I wouldn't really say my name and everything to someone who you have no idea who they are and could for all they know be a killer. I stood up slowly, unsure about him. He seemed very... prompt. Something that sometimes got on my nerves. "Uh..." I said slowly, unsure how to answer this. "My name is Birch." I said very slowly, peering at him.

"Aah... You find me slightly irritating? Wow... That is a great first impression." He smirked at her, pricking his ears forwards. "Well, it's lovely to meet you Birch. I could tell by your scent that you weren't from a pack around here, you a loner? A wanderer?" He cocked his head at her, curiousity sparkling in his eyes.

I dropped my ears to the back of my head, unsure about this. He was too friendly. And what, he had possessed the deer, and now what? Was he a mind reader too or something? I guarded my thoughts carefully now as I watched the male wolf babble. It was lovely to meet me? No one ever said it was lovely to meet me. Everyone ran away, or would fall to my gaze. "No." I said shortly, glancing around. "I'm a..." I let it hang there. I wasn't about to admit my past. "Loner." I finished, not going to say what I actually was.

"Your body language is telling me different but I won't ask what it isn't my place to ask..." He shrugged, frowning ever so slightly. "I am currently a loner, although I'm not sure whether I'll stay that for long... I'm already fetching meals for pack wolves and helping them with their problems..." Rolling his eyes to hide the secrets he was hiding behind them, he let out a sigh, his muscles tensing.

I shot a look at the matter-of-fact wolf that had just wandered into my midsts. He seemed so open to talk about something, like he didn't have a brain. But yet his ways of talking, how he told me that he can tell about my body language, just bugged me. As soon as he talked about a pack, my ears shot up. I immediately knew which pack he was talking about. "Soooo... Atki and Shadow have started a pack have they?" I asked. This was interesting news. "Bah. They get on my nerves." I mumbled, glancing around. I had to make sure I steered clear. Not that they would, but if it happened, I wouldn't want to be asked to join.

"If they are the ones with Linai, then yes. I believe that they have... Although I haven't really asked." His expression changed back to blank, although it was better than a frown it was still rather unnerving. "Might I ask why you don't like them? They seemed alright to me... Although I hadn't really talked with them."

Shadow raised his black head, laying outside of his den, aware of any signs of attacks. Linai was already hurt, no need to risk any more wolves. The pack was so small, every wolf counted even more. His yellow eyes blinked slowly at nothing. Smelling no signs of foes, he laied his head down to sleep. A few silent moments later, he jerked upright, eyes
