Jackel soon woke up as a butterfly landed on his rosey pink nose. He twitched his nose and stood up, he didn't see Rattlesnake. He shrugged and began to pad down a small path towards the river for a drink.

Rattlesnake pricked her ears heading the soft thud of a rabbits hind foot hitting the ground. She lowered herself even farther to the ground quietly shifting her hind paws to attack. She soon saw the large rabbit making its way down the trail stopping to sniff the ground and air every so often, luckily for Rattlesnake she was downwind of the animal so it didn't catch her scent. She waited till it started to pass her then leapt forward out of the grass, her claws quickly sunk in its soft side and she had it pinned to the ground before it even knew she was there. The rabbit struggled wildly trying to escape but it was trapped, with an evil grin she bit down on its throat and held tight blocking the air. Once the rabbit went limp she picked it up by the scruff and headed back the rabbit's hindquarters dragging on the ground.

Jackel stopped as he seen rattlesnake attack the rabbit, he glared over at her and opened his mouth tasting the air. That's when he notcied he was on a rabbit trail, he lowered his head and started to sniff around.

Rattlesnake stopped and put the rabbit back down noticing Jackel, "Well look whos awake" she said with a small smirk. She flicked her tail watching him sniff the trail "You probably won't catch anything on that trail for a while with all the noise this rabbit made" she said nudging the rabbit softly with her paw.

"No thanks to you.." jackel hissed as he turned away and slowly started to walk away close to the ground. His eyes watched every movement that he didn't make, most of the time it was the wind. He soon found a small snake hole, he quickly began to dig it up finding a angry snake. He pawwed behind it and it moved towards its tail, he quixckly grabbed it in his mouth and started to chew on it. The snake died as he was eating it.

Rattlesnake flicked her ear at his hiss, pick her rabbit back up she padded down to the river and laid down on the rock she had fished on last night. Listening to the river hurry past she started eating the rabbit.

Jackel pricked his head high with the snake hanging from his mouth.

Rattlesnake slowly ate savoring the taste of the big rabbit and enjoying the quiet sounds of the river.

The snake was quickly gone and only half way filled Jackel, he cocked his head and started sniffing again. He smelt the fresh water, mice, foxes, maple trees, and dirt. He looked around hoping to see another snake or mouse, even a rabbit.

Rattlesnake sat up and licked blood from her paws as she finished the rabbit. She glanced around the area before getting up and shaking her pelt then lapped up some water. Padding back toward the small patch of forest, she wandered through the undergrowth.
