"Alright, alright." Adele gently lowered her body to the floor, laying on her side, letting out a deep breath.

Zanzibar stood beside her protectively. He nuzzled her cheek before his eyes shot to the mouth of the cave.

Her eyes were closed but she felt Zan's gaze shift somewhere else. "What is it?"

"Nothing. Just listening for coyotes," he replied. He grinned at her, his eyes shining.

"Mhm.." Adele laid her head back down, giving her tail one last flick before relaxing.

The big cat launched at the three mares and Missy and Sasha reared up and pushed the cat away, then they whinnied louder at the cat and charged at it but to only come back to Forest's sides, and Missy said "We can't let it get Forest, waht kind of friends would we be if we let her die?" then the cat launched again and Sasha bucked at it, nailing it in the chest, but the cat would not give up

Zanzibar, finally deciding it was safe, lay down beside his mare, still on alert but relaxed none the less.

Adele lifted her head slightly, resting it now on Zan's side. She licked one of his wounds and nuzzled softly, hoping I would help.
