Rose spotted Ice and Moona through the rough brush and slowly approached them, a warm smile on her muzzle. "Hello?" She asked softly. "Can I help you? We have plenty of food and water in camp..."

Oak looked down at his two healthy pups, and let out a long, happy sigh.

Koaneck sat down and looked at the crowd of the pack.

Ice looked at the female. "Thank you, very much. I am Black Ice, but you can all me Ice. And this is my pup, Moona." His voice filled with love as he introduced his pup.

Rose nodded. "Lovely meeting you both. I'm Rose. If you'll follow me, I have some fresh deer in my den." She motioned them towards a small den about ten yards away.

Ice nodded to Rose. "Thank you very much, and nice meeting you Rose."

Moona moved to under Ice's belly, being very scared at this point. She wasn't used to other wolves being around her.

Rose smiled and nodded. "It's no bother at all." She walked into her den a moment, then followed out with a large, fresh buck. She dropped it down and looked down at the pup that sat under Ice, and she had an idea. "Wait here." She said, walking back into the depths of her den and walking out moments later, a small stuffed wolf in her grasp. She set the toy down next to the small pup, speaking softly. "My mother gave it to me when I was little. Whenever I needed a hug, she was my friend. I want you to have her. I hope you'll love her as much as I did back then." She nudged it towards her, a warm smile on her muzzle.
