Theophile nodded "Yeah." and sat down by the group with Elaine. "Hey how's life?" he said, purposely trying to interrupt the mutt's conversation.

Clyde spoke up "I remember our first time out together, at that Dog market Fair, Sparky wanted a gift for her mother, but couldn't afford one. SO she kicked everyone in the knee, called them a rip off artist, and ran off."
