Zev looked at the small pup. He chuckled, a hint of humor glinting in his eyes. "So I've been told," he barked simply. He paused for a moment, then began back again. "Where's your family, young one?" He asked. Pups didn't tend to stray too far away from the pack. It was a very dangerous stunt to pull, even for the bravest of pups. Most of them were taught that at a very young age.
Daciana let out a yelp as a large wolf leapt out from the bushes.
"Get off, you fiend!" She howled. She scrambled to her paws, eyes locked on the new character that had just appeared in her new chapter of life. "How dare you?! Don't you know who I am? I rule this land, far as you could ever see! This is all of mine, and don't you ever forget it!" Every hair on the ebony she-wolf stood on edge, so she looked twice the size she had been just seconds before.
