Lola sat in a corner, frightend and worried. Why was she put here? After her owners kicked her out of her house, she seemed hopeless until a nice person showed up. They seemed nice.... Until she got here. Lola, who had once been in a family with three kids, was now locked up in a pin with many other dogs. No one would like her...

Jess lapped up a puddle of water he was lucky to find in the yard he called his new home. Apart from the one measly bowl of dogfood given to the dogs a day, they had nothing. Every once in a while, people would come and remove almost dead dogs from the pin. The tan herder eyed carefully making sure no males approached him.

Kira: She was put in a 'cage' with at least five other dogs, and three of them were huddled in a corner not breathing. She glanced down at the bowls in the 'cage', and they were filled with black slime. She revolted against it, and then looked out, whining to the human who had shoved her in there. It walked away, and she let out a deep growl.
