Sage whinnied at the fire raging, attempting to get up. her legs ached and she felt doozy, but she fianlly stood up.Now she was just worried if she could run




Adele looked with pricked ears, and saw a blazing fire that was crackling with deadly sparks and flames. She shrieked and squealed as she reared high in the air, landing on her hooves and tuned on her haunches, darting away

Lilly could hardly make Sarge out through the haze but whinnied and followed closely, trusting him to find a way out.

Sarge whinnied again, zig-zagging up the mountain to get away from the fire.

Coy coughed and smiled back at Siela, a warm but pained expression. "Of course I came. " He replied and nudged her, deciding the 'Nice to meet you' s could wait for later, if there even was a later. His muzzle twitched and he sneezed but he had turned his head so he wouldn't sneeze on the mare, and what he saw dismayed him. Flame where everywhere and were closing in fast, it had burned up the rest of the forest and now it was consuming the ground that was previously too wet for it to burn. He clacked his teeth and nudged Siela harder. "Get up and wade in the river." He croaked and flipped his forelock out of his eyes.

Dakshi looked back over his brown shoulder at the advancing fire then back at his mare. His eyes flashed with determination and he stared at Sage, it was as if he could read her mind when really he was just reading body language. "Sorry Sage, but you're going to have to run." His voice was already getting harsher with the tendrils of smoke weaving through his lungs. He lunged forward and snaked her up toward the top of the mountain.

Night Song saw the fleeing band of Sarge and fell into step with his mares, her ears still pinned flat against her neck. The smoke was thick and she jostled the other mares in fear. The night songs usually don't do this. They could always be evaded by you not listening! Her panic showed as clear as day on her face as she trotted past the other mares. But soon the mare was forced to buckle down with a coughing fit, but desperation made her stumble forward. Those few steps were costly, her hoof caught on something and Night Song fell to the ground.

Ria galloped the mountainside and soon the appaloosa mare passed all of the fleeing bands. Her hooves thudded on the ground as she tried to out pace to flames. Surprisingly she was slowly pulling away from the flames, if Ria realized this she didn't show it she continued her swift accent of the mountain.

Sarge struggled to keep his mares with him, but managed to keep them all together. He noticed Night Song had fallen, and urged his mares to go. He stopped to help her up, coughing every now and then.

The smoke burned Lilly's eyes and she squinted to make sure that Sarge followed before continuing on, trying to breath in as little of the smoke as possible.

Sarge looked at Lilly, who was still standing there. "G-go!" he roared, coughing violently.
