Todd raised an eyebrow as Lady approached. Were his hangout spots really that common that everyone knew where to find them? He almost warned her against taking off the chain and mouth piece but then decided not to. Let her find out for herself.
“Nothing, actually.” His voice was deep and gravely, his eyes dark. “I’m still debating on whether or not to keep him. He is older, but more experienced. Doesn’t get along too well with most other dogs.” That was one of the reasons that Todd wasn’t too sure about keeping him. “Have him, but I will probably be checking up on him ever so often. Probably won’t want him back.” With that, Todd tossed his coffee cup and left.
Tarnac eyed the strange smelling lady, wondering who the hell she thought she was. His lip lifted slightly, quivering as she removed his leash. He remained calm though, his best trait. Already she was touching him like this without having earned his respect? Backing out of her grip, Tarnac glanced down the street. Without the leash he was free to run. Without the muzzle, the stupid looking poodle he had spotted a block or two over was now his enemy. Putting his nose to the ground, Tarnac began to track it, completely ignoring the new owner.
(He will come around… eventually. Probably.)
