Sparrow watched Boscoe and Winter, hoping that those two never got into a fight. The poor she-wolf would be killed, no doubt.

Azbo let go of the bars and his tongue lolled, delighted. She was wonderful! Scooting closer until he was pressed up against the bars of the cage, Azbo agreed with her words, the joking tone in his voice extremely subtle. “Shard- that is your name, right?” He paused for a moment and not waiting for her reply, he continued. “I am always observant when there is anything pretty to observe.” He bent his head, as if wanting to tell her a secret. “Not too many others here are very nice to look at. Just look at poor Boscoe! However, nothing that a pretty bow could not fix!” His voice wasn’t too loud but they were all in the small space, after all. Azbo’s clear gaze never left the cream colored female. Azbo’s personality was like that. He was not underestimating any of them and was not trying to be a tease or amuse anyone but he had to be speaking to someone and make the conversation interesting if he wasn’t going to be fighting.

Sparrow watched Azbo and Shard, then turned his head, looking at the others. Silence seemed to fill the room for a second, before the sound of a dying dog could be heard from the arena. His ears flicked back and he wondered what poor soul passed at that moment.

The Jindo was surprised; not many dogs talked to her; they usually attempted to strike up a conversation, and when she responded with the usual faintly sarcastic tone, they would stop talking to her. Suddenly unsure what to say, a first for her, she replied, "Do you have a point to make?" As soon as the words had rolled off her tongue, she realized how lame she sounded. Compared to her usual self, which was always ready to snap back a witty retort, that was. She involuntarily scooted towards the bars of her cage.
Her tail flicked uncertainly around her, and she shuffled her paws a bit, feeling fidgety all of a sudden.

Boscoe grinned, his green eye glittering more. The large, handsome Doberman didn't say anything at first, only watched her. "I'm sure you know who will win that fight, Winter. Just as sure as you know that you'll never make it out of this place alive." He smiled coldly, then went back to licking the dried blood from his fur.

Baxter wagged his tail. "So, what are your names?' He called out to the dogs around him. "And how long have you been here? Whats all this talk about fighting too I mean really whats the arena and Im hungry wheres the food and were any of you ever house pets I really wanna know more do you guys like it here and what does Boscoe mean by Winter will never make it out of here alive? I don't understand this place is strange and why do I smell blood are they gonna feed us meat or something?" He is talking non-stop, almost like a nervous tick kinda thing.

Rishka sighs, lying her head on her paws. "I just hope I don't have to fight again anytime soon. I hate killing others, but I want to survive. And it's especially horrible when you're fighting against a young one, like that Baxter over there."

Winter narrowed her eyes and lowered her tail. "You'll never get to touch me, Boscoe. I'll kill myself before I give you that pleasure," she snapped bitterly, taunting him at the end. And she knew that if they were ever to fight, she would have an advantage. Not because of size, but her skill and brains. All she needed to do was avoid his teeth. After escaping that one time, she had noticed a crack in a few bars. If she could get Boscoe to hit those . . . Suddenly, she heard a human walk into the room, its' feet echoing roughly on the stone floor.

Sparrow growled as the oncoming human examined the dogs, probably choosing which ones who fight against one another.

Boscoe only laughed. "You'll never know what hit you, Winter. Until you feel the pain, the slow, agonizing pain. Don't worry, I won't let you kill yourself. I need you, because I plan to have fun with your death." For once, he ignored the humans as they walked by.

Baxter wiggled out of sight from the human, not wanting to be hit again. Luckily, he was a bit young to be chosen, but he actually wanted to go. Baxter thought they took you off to some place fun. After all, Boscoe had returned happily, hadn't he?
