The cool breeze of the midmorning air filled Aegis' lungs as she flew silently above her camp. She was out on patrol duty, making sure no human stragglers accidentally wandered near the dragon camp. And if they did....Well, she just might be forced to eat them. A snort escaped from her nose as she thought about it, releasing a small wisp of smoke with the disgusted noise. Humans. The very sight of them agitated her. She couldn't stand there feral, brute, and uncivilized way of things. At least dragons had the sense to sort disputes out, rather than jump for a sword every time someone stepped on their toes. Aegis' golden eyes caught sight of movement down below her. Banking her wings for a left turn, she quickly spiraled downwards to land next to her little apprentice on the grassy expanse of the clearing in their camp. "Hello, little one," she said warmly, smiling down at the young dragoness.
( OOC: I'm kind of treating Dusk as a daughter to Aegis, b/c I'm assuming Dusk never met her own mother, and Aegis hasn't had eggs of her own. Is this sort of behavior okay? If not I can edit the post above. Just wanted to ge the all-clear from you. )
