"I knew it!" Nira said. She snorted, "You told me you loved me! But I guess I'm just another addition to your harem!" She flicked her tail angrily at him and started trotting away from him.

[Frost~]

'nira, I told you you wouldn't be the only mare! If I don't eventually breed to the mares, other stallions will take them away. And then what? Well, our herd wouldn't be a herd!" Thunder neighed loudly.

"I don't recall you EVER telling me that!" Nira said, "How can you expect me to not be upset when you THINK you told me but DIDN'T?" She wheeled around and snorted.

[Frost~]

"Well, you should know! You were lead mare, you should of known!" Thunder hollored.

"Well excuse me if I was totally unprepared to BE the lead mare!" Nira shouted back.

[Frost~]

"Well, why don't you go running to Jor! He might let you in his herd, because your out of this one!" Thunder neighed. He snorted at her.

Nira stood, looking at Thunder, slightly dismayed.
"Alright, fine! I think I will!" she said. She turned and bolted off into the forest. She ran blindly past bushes and trees, barely looking where she was going.
I hope my foal doesn't look like Thunder. she thought bitterly.

Delphi lifted her head to watch Nira run off. She looked and Thunder.
"I'm sorry it didn't work out," she said softly, "Sometimes relationships like these don't."

[Frost~]

Thunder turned to face Delphi. "It's ok." he nickered. He trotted over to Crimson.

Delphi just nodded. She looked at Crimson and wondered if she would become the new lead mare since Thunder kicked Nira out.

Thunder sihed. he swatted at a pesky horse ly nipping at his rump.
