Hoofprints In The Sand (Semi-Lit / Open - Accepting)

Jor's ears pricked and he raised his head. He wached them start wakling then he turned and walked over to Crimson. She still layed in the grass on the dune, her black fur and creamy main shining dimly in the light. Jor came closer to Crimson and a scent he knew too well filled his nose. She was in heat. He knew this not only because of her scent but because of her calm demienor and silent glances from Jor to Thunder. Jor snorted. He would have to keep her away from Thunder! With her injered shoulder is was more risky to breed. He snorted and pushed her to her feet. She got up quickly,"Yes?" she asked, her voice smooth and gentle. Jor gave her a blank look,"Stop that!" he snorted. Crimson cocked her head to the side and flicked her tail over her back, sending her scent drifting over the breeze,"Doing what?" she asked sweatly. Jor groaned. He and Crimson would swim to the island. That way he would be further away from Thunder and the herd when they came to land.

[Frost~]

Thunder wathced Jor force Crimson up. He could smell her heat scent, but wasn't falling for it. He knew too well that Crimson hated him. He turned back to his herd. "If you want to walk on the path, go right ahead. If you want to swim next to it, thats ok. Do what you want." he nickered, plunging into the icy cold ocean. He could easily touch the sandy floor now, but he knew as they swam further it would dissapear underneath their hooves.

Jor saw Thunder get in the water. He groaned,"why does he have to screw with everything i do?" he pushed Crimson,"Come on." he Grunted. Crimson trotted after him with her tail cocked. She flicked it back and forth,"I Don't think he is that bad....I mean, he did save me from a moutain lion." she sighed. Jor put his ears back,"Why now?" he groaned. He trotted into the cold water,"Come on, we have to get there quickly." he said and waded out into the water. His hooves tocked the ground till they were about 50 feet out then he lost it. He pumped his legs through the water, his head hovering about the surface. Crimson at his side.

[Frost~]

Thunder watched them splash into the water. WHy were they going? He put his ears back, but kept swimming.

Jor plowed on faster, his breathing heavy. He could see a shadow floating on the water. The land was slowly growing closer. Crimson pulled ahead of him slightly. He let her and watched her as she made her way to the beach. Her heat scent was faded from the water buthe knew it would be back once she was dry. He had no reason or urge to bread with Crimson, she wasn't a mate to him, just a sister.

[Frost~]

Thunder also soon got to the island. He saw a few trees, but mainly meadows and a small bit of forests. Thunder went to Jor. "To straighten this out, you get the small forest on the opposite side of the island for yyou and Crimson. We get all of the meodow land." he nickered.

Jor nodded,"Agreed, you need more grazing land anyway." he said hastily and pushed Crimson back with his rump. She pushed him back then walked up to Thunder,"Listen, I'm sorry for earlier. I shouldn't have been so rude to you when you were trying to help me." she said in a gentle voice. Jor snorted and started Walking,"I'll be heading there now. Crimson, catch up when you can." he whinnyed. He wasn't going to wach what was going to happen, but he could already scence the inevidable happening and he didn't want to be aroud when the dead was done.

[Frost~]

Thunder nodded. "And I'm sorry for being so cocky and rude to you and Jor." he nickered to Crimson.

Crimson nodded,"Apology accepted." she said and rubbed his neck with her nose,"I have to cach up with Jor. He will be displeased if I am back with him late." she said and turned. She flicked her long tail over her back, her heat scent twirling around her link heavy scented clouds of mist.
