she got up and streched again, looking round the savanah for zero. she was hungry and could smell food nearby but she could also smell wild dogs, so she stayed put.

Zero trotted up to Emily and sighed. It was hot today, but not hot enough to ditract the Hyenas and Wild Dogs. "Em," he said, panting a bit, "I hear Seven's raiding today...Emily, don't you think we should wait on the raids? Sending Seven and the Warriors out isn't wise, not when the Dogs and Tricksters have had such a good breeding season." Zero hoped Kenya would show up soon and back him up, but he trusted Emily's judgement.

Alikua sat atop a rock formation and scented the cheetahs and hyenas. They weren't far. He knew Mwizi and Joker were around somewhere, but they were probably more interested in the cheetah cubs. Suddenly, Kua had an idea. What if he were to forge an alliance with the Quickpaws? His pack could scavenge their food, they would protect them from harm! What luck! Alikua steeled himself for the journey, took a gift of newborn antelope, and headed off for the cheetah group.

Mwizi was waiting for Joker so she could make her move. The cheetahs would hunt soon...their cubsitters would be hunting too, it was too lean of a season...then, those delicious cubs would be all hers. Oh! She could just taste them now. But wait! What did she smell downwind of the Quickpaws? A Dog! Mwizi lowered her body and slinked downwind of the cheetah family as well, waiting to see what words she could twist into her own this time. She saw Alikua, one of the Warriors. What was he doing...?

The air was hot and thick as it plunged down through the jagged teeth and into the empty darkness of the cheetahs broad throat. Her heavily spotted sides heaved with exhaustion and her long elegant legs quivered just the slightest bit under her slim trended body. Her name was Seven, seven like the number of spots down long right leg and her eyes song a dangerous glimmer of grey with a light tint of grass green that visualized only in the glow of the evenings sinking sun. Her chase back to the rest of them had been a fun yet challenging race, a sort of training that she condemned on herself to make herself the best there was.. Now only trotting lightly over the crinkling grass that brushed her feet as she passed along the through the terrain, she spotted Zero and Emily. Her pace quickened in a delicate twit of her rib slim body and she neared them with her unemotional expression.
