Leafsong dropped the yarrow leaf right on the rile and walked out there coolly "Yes fawnstar i am here." she said looking lovingly at ivypaw her first apprentice and last at that.

Fawnstar raised his head higher. "Ivypaw. Do you wish to become a medicine cat apprentice? Keep in mind that if you do, you will not be able to have a mate."

"Yes," Ivypaw meowed. "I understand," she added softly when Fawnstar mentioned that she couldn't have a mate as a medicine cat.

[Hopping Rox]

Fawnstar smiled warmly and nodded. "Then I apprentice you to Leafsong, our medicine cat. May she teach you all she knows, until the day comes when you will take her place as medicine cat of Mouseclan."

Leafsong nodded and came to touch noses with Ivypaw.

Ivypaw smiled shyly at her new mentor as she reached up to touch noses with her. "I'll try my best to learn everything," she promised.

Leafsong purred in amusement "i know you will make a great medicine cat one day, and you will save this clan." she said.

Fawnstar flicked his tail happily. "Good." He turned to Ivypaw's brother. "Nettlepaw! Would you mind coming over here as well?"

Nettlepaw blinked as he made his way over to Fawnstar, flicking his sister's shoulder with his tail as he passed. "Yes Fawnstar," he meowed.
