Stormpaw followed her slow and first but than ran to catch up with her. The thoughts of becoming a warrior kept him awake.

“Stormpaw, this is the Training Hollow, where we’ll start battle training. First, I’m going to teach you the slash-and-run.”

(Here we go...my first attempt at RP'ing!)

Starwing lazily opened her eyes and stretched her front paws. Today was her first day as a Clan cat, and yet it felt no different to wake up in one of the dens than under an old tree or inside an abandoned junkyard. The same sun still awoke her quite rudely from her slumber. She let out a loud yawn and stood up, shaking to rid herself of a few burrs that had found their way into her bed. Stepping outside, she looked up at the sky and realized it was midday. It was the time of day she usually woke up, but she remembered that the Clan leader had wanted her to wake up early so as to attend training with the apprentices. "Dang it!" she muttered to herself. Not only was she late, she had no idea where she was supposed to go.

“Morning, Starwing,” mewed Fernpaw gently. “Welcome to ShadeClan. You should go hunting for the Clan; don’t worry about being late.”

[Blue Frost]

Starwing nodded. Although the cat was much smaller than her, she probably knew much more about Clan life than she did. Fernpaw pointed towards the hunting grounds, and she hurried off, eager to prove herself. She watched her step, careful not to frighten any prey. Suddenly a rustle caught her attention. She froze, focusing on the sound. Carefully she nosed her way through some tall grass, finding a pudgy rabbit nibbling on some grass. Crouching down, she stalked towards her unsuspecting prey, closer, and closer, until - "Morning, Starwing!" Wildflower said, noisily padding into the clearing. The rabbit bolted. Starwing cursed under her breath and took off after it. She trampled through the undergrowth, ignoring the fact that nearly every other prey in the forest was fleeing now. She only focused on the rabbit. Suddenly she pounced, her claws sinking into the rabbit's hind legs, and it let out a terrified shriek before Starwing delivered a swift bite to its neck. Behind her, Wildflower cme up, panting. Her eyes were huge. "That was amazing!" she said. "I've never seen another cat run that fast!"

Wildflower stayed in her den, organizing herbs as Feathershine’s belly got larger and larger.

"Well, you need to be in the hunter's crouch," she meowed, then showed Stormpaw how to leap and smack the opponent, then bite their tail. "Try it on me," meowed Fernstar, smiling at her apprentice.
