Mousepaw trotted outside of the medicine den, looking for Splatterpelt. "Splatterpelt!" She called out. "Where are you?"

Foxjump snoozed in his den. The sun glimmered at his face, waking him. The tom yawned, stretched, and walked briskly out of his den.

"Im not trying to get you to hange your minds",she says,"But Lynxpelt,you would be a perfect deputy and ferris,you would be a good warrior."

Lynxpelt looked at the new loner who had a mouse and nodded slowly. He turned back to the leader. "How do you know our names?" he inquired.

Splatterpelt went to the edge of the shore and smiled as the salty water tried to reach her paws but she backed up as soon as it got close. "At the shore Mousepaw." she mewed loudly so her apprentice could hear.
