From this moment on until you get your warrior name, you will be known as Angelpaw and Dustpaw.Shaefeather,you are now ready to take on an apprentice.You will be a mentor to Angelpaw, you have shown yourself as a warrior of strength and bravery. I hope you pass on all you know to Angelpaw.Blackfoot you are ready for a new apprentice.You will be a mentor to Dustpaw.You have shown yourself as a warrior of cleverness and speed. I hope you pass on all you know to Dustpaw." The new mentors and apprentices touched noses and the Clan called "Angelpaw!Dustpaw!" The Clan went back to what they were doing and the mentors and apprentices went out to train.

Sorrelpaw bounded out of the apprentices den and to Sootfur. "What are we going to do tommorow" she asked. Sootfur lifted her head and said "Hunting practice. thats what were doing tommorow and the day after that". Sorrelpaw nodded and asked "And after that?". Sootfur took a deep breath and said "We acess your hunting skills". Sorrelpaw then suddenly got happier and said "ok" and raced off to the apprentices den.

"So, first you get down in your crouch like this." Shaefeather instructed the two apprentices while Blackfoot watched. It was his first apprentice, so Shaefeather was helping him out. "Don't just sit there, do it." He instructed. Both apprentices did as they were told. "Now, do you see that leaf right there? Pretend it's a mouse. Carefully stalk forward." Shaefeather said, doing exactly as she said she was, "Then Pounce!" She said, landing right on the leaf. The two apprentices successfully did as they were told. "Excellent." Blackfoot said, "But, remember, it will be harder with actual prey."

Sootfur got up slowly and stretched. She walked over to Silverheart and Graystripe, and said "Hunting practice?". They nodded and got up and called to their apprentices. Once they all met up, they ran out of camp and to the woods where they could hunt. They hunted until moonrise once they had 2 thrushes, 5 mice and 4 robins altogether. They trotted back to camp and gave the medicine cats some and then other cats ate. All of the warriors,apprentices, medicine cats and Greenstar werein their denas fast asleep so Sootfur followed their lead and went to sleep as well.

Shaefeather nodded to Blackfoot and looked at the apprentices. "Wanna try it on some prey?" She asked. The apprentices nodded vigorously and they went away from the hollow and into the forest to hunt. Each apprentice caught about 2 mice. Shaefeather caught 3 birds, Blackfoot caught some squirrels. "Shaefeather, how did you catch that bird, straight from the tree?" Angelpaw asked. "I'll show you tomorrow, right now. We need to get some rest." Shaefeather said laying her catch on the fresh kill pile. Shaefeather and Blackfoot went into the warrior's den and Angelpaw and Dustpaw to the aprentice den.

Sootfur walked up to Graystripe and Silverheart and said "Hunting practice now?". They nodded and called to their apprentices and set off. They ordered them to hunt and they came back with 2 thrushes, 5 mice and 4 robins. they trotted back home and brought the Medicine cats their kill and took some for themselves inside the warrior den. on a full stomach they fell asleep.

"Angelpaw!" Shaefeather called. "You will be joining the border patrol with me Bluesky, and Lionclaw." Angelpaw nodded and the patrol set out. There was nothing there and they were almost done. "Ow!!" Angelpaw said.Everyone looked at her, she'd fallen into a two-leg fox trap. Her foot was caught. "Go get Leafpelt and Winterpaw!" Shaefeather orderd Bluesky and she left. Lionclaw and Shaefeather tried to pry open the trap, but it was no use.

Sootfur heard other cats from Nightclan and raced out with Fireclaw, Wetfoot, and Graystripe to see what it was. They stopped in front of the Nightclan cats and asked "Stuck are you?"

Shaefeather glared at Sootfur, she looked back at Angelpaw and sighed. "Yah...alittle". Leafpelt got back and looked at the trap. Then he looked at Angelpaw's foot."Well, maybe we could get it out with some chewed up herbs and slide it out,." He suggested. "Yeah, but I can't even move!" Angelpaw yelled. "It's ok. Just breathe slowly and calm down." Shaefeather told her. "We'll get you out...somehow.."

Sootfur shook her head and said " You could never slide it out. Once it has something it tightens its grip. We have to deal with these all of the time. Do you want us to help?" she suggested looking back at the warriors who accompanied her to the Nightclan cats.
