Name- Lina

Gender- Female

Age- Young Adult

History- Lina was born into to a loving, caring she-wolf, but she had no pack, and she had no other family. She lived with her mother in a red maple forest, learning all she could from the wise she-wolf.

Lina's mother loved a dog. She was shunned from her pack for trusting one of those vile human-serving creatures, and she went to live with him for many years. Lina's mother and father were often sad because they had no children, but that changed when Lina came. She was the blessing of their heart, and they lived happily until one day Lina's father was killed a dewolf who attacked in the middle of the night.

Lina was still a pup, but the memory of that night would stay with her forever. Strangely, she had never felt bitterness in her heart toward the being who attacked them. Instead she felt grateful to him because he didn't kill all of them. She felt an immense sorrow for him, too. "Pain is a raging animal," her mother had said after the endless weeks of mourning for him, "especially when it is hidden in the heart. Sometimes it is so hidden we don't even know what it can make us do until it is too late."

More than anything else, though, Lina felt an overwhelming curiosity, a need to know the answers her father had asked the attacking Dewolf. She thought about his last words during the day, and the burning questions kept her awake at night.

Looks-

Personality- Very sweet and loving. Somewhat child-like in nature. Loves puppies, and is pleasant to be around. Serious about serious things, holds firm to her beliefs but is very open minded. Unique. Perhaps her most defining characteristic is that she is very compassionate by nature.

Introduction:

"Lina? Please come here."

It was her mother's voice. Lina had pawed over to her. They had talked for a great while. It had started as a happy conversation, but by the end of their talk Lina had tears in her eyes. "Yes, I understand" she said at last. "I... if you're sure this will make you happy again..." she stumbled over her words, "I'll be glad to do anything as long as it helps you. And I know it will help me too." It was the hardest thing for Lina to say those words, but she knew the time would've come sooner or later. She knew it had to be done.

That was six months ago. It was the conversation that troubled most of Lina's dreams. Her mother had told her that she needed to be alone now. That she felt she no longer had the strength to care for Lina. That she felt troubled because everything whispered her father's name. She needed to go. To leave that land where the whole forest, every tree and every stone brought back the memories of her mate. "If I am still well," her mother said, "we will meet again. It is a promise. In the meantime I want you to learn what you can from our world. I want you to live in peace. I want you to meet others, find love, and build your life. Don't let the tragedy keep you from doing these things any longer." So Lina smiled at her mother's way of caring so much. And she smiled at her wisdom. She smiled because she didn't want her to see her overwhelming sorrow inside.

Lina's mother had changed since her father's death. Strangely, she had become more wise. She sat and thought all day, in her favorite spot by the river. But she had also grown more apart from Lina, and that made Lina very sad. "Maybe she just needs some time for her heart to heal," Lina thought. So that was the way things had happened.

And Lina went out into the world with a mission: to make her mother happier by making herself happier. Maybe to find her mother someone to love again. Maybe to find herself a mate and bring her mother happiness, a pack, and grandchildren. However it was done, though, her ultimate goal was to make her mother happy again. And she knew she would. She was determined.

Lina was getting excited. The hill she had been trying to reach for two days now was finally near. With a joyful yip she bounded to its foot. "Perfect!" she thought. She didn't really know why she was trying to reach the hill. Maybe because beautiful places always made her happy and feel at ease. Maybe because from there she knew she could see her surroundings better, both the surroundings of the land and of her life. From there she could reflect, rethink things, and know better what to do in the coming days. She bounded toward the top. It was a very tall hill. She might have even called it a mountain, but it wasn't steep at all. It was just tall.

Finally she reached the top. It was everything she had dreamed of, complete with a small stream. Here she would rest. Here she would find peace.

Lina stood. Without thinking too much, she let out a howl. If she was going to going to find someone, a special friend or someone to help her, she knew she'd have to start looking. She hoped the wolves in the surrounding areas were friendly. Lina was strong, but she hated to fight. She felt it wrong to harm a fellow wolf.

But that brought up another thing: her identity. Was she really a wolf? She had been raised as a wolf. But would they reject her because she was obviously part dog? Her odd eyes, her light brown coloring that gave her away so quickly to her prey. She deeply hoped everything would work out okay. It had to. For her mother. And it would. She decided not to worry to much about that. She decided to just wait, and watch, and heal. She was feeling so much better already. Like her heart that weighed ten pounds just got five pounds lighter. She was ready to receive a responding howl. She was ready to try her best.

((Sorry for the super mega long post! Sorry that it's so serious too. Lina usually isn't a drama queen and she usually isn't so serious, she's just been through the hardest thing in her life. But she'll get happier and she'll be more fun once she meets people and the RP gets going some more. She can be pretty funny too. I usually tend to get carried away at introductions and Lina is a character I have been thinking up for days so I couldn't help it. None of my other posts will be this long, though. Thanks for reading, if you actually read all of it. I hope I didn't bore you. ))

Before Raye could respond to Shero, she heard a faint howl. Her ears, like satellites, picked up every sound wave. It didn't sound exactly like a wolf howl, it was a little different. "Hey, did you hear that howl? It doesn't sound exactly like a wolf howl, does it? Should we go find out what it is?" Raye asked the others, eager for adventure.
