Raye smiled again at Shero, "I'm fine, I'm sure," Though she was feeling a bit cold, there wasn't much he could do about it right at the moment, so she decided not to tell him. She lay her head down and thought a while, then turned to Shero, "How much time have you been living around these parts? And do you plan to stay?" Raye asked, trying to start up a conversation.

"I've lived here for about three days before you met me." shero was suprised by the question. "And I was actually going to leave today, but then I met you..." He trailed off nervously.

Raye almost jumped when Shero said this. "Really?" She asked softly. Raye doubted he really meant this, maybe it was a mistake. But then again, maybe not.

"Yeah. Ever since those huge wolves showed up and killed my family, I've been a wanderer, never staying in a place for more than a week, even in winter." He admitted.

[Pingutaina]

"Wow, that must've been tough. What are those wolf-creatures called?" Raye asked, curious about these creatures.

"I'm not sure. I was just trying to live." Shero said. "It had the word 'wolf' in it, I think."

[Pingutaina]

"Interesting," Raye said. "Well, I've been living here for a few days, too. I also thought I'd be going off as well if it weren't for all that's happened today." Raye looked at her side, "And I don't think this will let me go anywhere." It was now completely dark, except the light of the moon shining dimly upon them. The cold was getting to Raye, and though she tried not to, she was shivering a bit. Suddenly, there was some rustling from the woods. First she didn't think much of it, but then she thought, Dewolves. "I don't think so..." Raye thougth to herself. She could hear the rustling again and it sounded as if were slowly getting closer. "Did you hear that?" He asked Shero in a low, nervous voice.

Lina had seen the new wolf approaching them. And she had seen how large he was. His muscular body moved quickly. She couldn't tell if he was hurrying to them out of worry for the dilemma he saw unfolding before him, or if he had other, had dangerous intentions. In the dimming light, his coat looked darker. And for some reason Lina could not comprehend, she felt suddenly frightened. So she ran away and hid behind a tree, not too close to the new wolf, not too far to see anything that might happen. She had hoped no one had noticed. And apparently they hadn't. Lina listened to the new wolf talking. "So... his name is Dako..." she whispered to herself. She saw that he was kind and only wanted to help, and her tail began to slowly wag. She wanted to meet him. She was about to bound out from behind the tree, but then she thought of the horrible cowardly thing she had done. She had left Raye and Shero. She bent her her ears down. She was ashamed. She was a coward. So she stayed behind the tree. And she listened to Shero and Raye. It was comforting to see them talking, and pretend she was there with them, talking along with them. She wondered if anyone would notice her absence. Her thoughts drifted back to Dako.
