Species: Crested eagle
Gender: Male
Description: Talon has golden-black feathers covering his entire body, always kept neat and glistening. His long tail feathers are striped horizontally with gold and black. His downy undercoat is a creamy white, as are his legs. His feet and beak are bright yellow, and his claws are very long and sharp, thus giving him his name. His eyes are an intense amber color, most of the time hard and narrowed. His long crest is made up of a bushel of feathers, standing upright on the top of his head. They give him a rather important air.
Personality: Talon is a sly and power-hungry eagle. His goal is to have the entire valley under his command, birds following his orders without question. His ambition is not completely selfish; he utterly believes that the only way the valley will survive is under his command. He thinks the birds need a strong, powerful leader, and he thinks that he is just that.

History(optional): He hardly remembers it, and doesn't like to talk about it. He was probably born some place not far from the Valley, and ended up here one one of his solo flights.

Description: Pure white feathers. The tips of her wings and tail is jet black. One eye is green like the Valley meadows, the other is blue like the mid morning sky. She is very beautiful, but with a mysterious air.
Personality: Kyra is a rather shy and secretive hawk. She hides a great many mysteries, and other birds regard her as a bit odd. She often has a dreamy, far-way look on her face, and it takes a lot to get her focus. Other times she interrupts another person in their conversation to make a random and apparently irrelevant comment. But past her oddness, she is caring and protective, and entirely loyal to her friends and family. She makes friends easily, with her carefree and childish air. She has a talent for speaking (once you get her to step out of her bubble), especially making up stories. It's hard to get mad at her, she'll just stare right past you and then ask you if you're hungry.

Talon perched on the swaying tree branch, his distinctive crested head turning right and left as his sharp eye surveyed the surrounding area. He snapped his beak together, making a clacking sound. He was hungry. Spreading his gold-black wings, he climbed into the sky, and assumed large, apparently lazy circles around his territory.

Kyra woke up and started preening her snow white feathers. Her sharp beak plucked efficiently through her coat, pulling out the dead feathers so new glossy ones could grown in their place. As a final touch she rubbed her smooth beak up and down to give both it and her feathers a silky shine.

Lenore was perched quietly on the branch of a large pine tree quietly, watching the world around her. She liked to observe things, though not be apart of them. Getting bored of watching, she bounded easily into the air, spread her black wings and took off. She was easy to spot in the light day sky.

Gender: male
Description: (look at pics) Is a very handsome bird, with piercing amber eyes and a ready laugh. Confident smile. Finely muscled without being brawny. The ladies find him quite attractive.
Personality: Is brave and fearless, and will willingly die to defend himself and the ones he loves, but his family is dead as far as he knows. Likes to flirt. Has a tough exterior, but is really kind and caring inside. He doesn't mean to, but he is touchy about his past and can snap about it.

Other: Is a formidable fighter and is lithe, agile, and strong, with quick and graceful movements. Good endurance, and can fly extremely fast when he wants to.

Talon's sharp eyes spied a large hare, nibbling quietly at a stalk of grass. Safe and secure in the heather. Well, other than from the eyes in the sky. Talon smirked, and clinked his long claws together, already imagining them sinking into soft, warm flesh. He flew high, above the clouds so his shadow wouldn't betray him. When finally a cloud covered the sun, the hawk launched himself into position. When he was perpendicular to the ground, right above the hare, yet still several hundred feet above ground, he paused, and turned his beak to the ground. Tucking his wings in tight, he plummeted through the air.

Kyra yawned, and shook herself. She walked a few steps along her branch, preparing for takeoff. She spread her beautiful white wings, glistening like fresh snow in the sunshine. She beat them a few times, launching herself soundlessly into the air. High above, she saw the sharp outline of a raven circling in the clouds. Perhaps she had found a kill. Kyra did not feel like hunting, and she would like to just feed off some other bird's kill.

Lenore soared through the air, her sharp and keen sense of smell guiding her towards the strong smell of death. And at last, she had found it. It was a small fawn. It was hardly eaten, and by the looks of it, still very fresh. Smirking, she dove down and perched on top of the brown fur of the deer and began to pick and peck on its innards.

Ebenos glided through the warm air, rising on an updraft with barely a flap of his broad, strong wings. It was a good day. The sun was shining, the sky was blue, and Ebenos had not a care in the world. Well, he was hungry. But that could be easily fixed. With sharp eyes the hawk easily made out the ground and every detail. He saw a felled fawn and swooped in.
