Wisp bent down, picking Whistle, Midnight, and Moonlight between her teeth and stood back up more alert then ever since her pups depended on her until she put them back down again when they where safe in the middle of the pack. Suddenly she heard a noise kind of like a rustle on the other side of the bank towards the middle of a pack of bushes then a low growl was heard, this was not a wolf but what WAS it?

Karin stood up having heared something. She slowly got closer to it. But only a bird was flying away.

then suddenly a huge paw came out followed by the other one and a head, a huge head.it was a...huge male black bear the most feared in this part of the river Tamanoke the killer bear almost always followed by The Forgottens a group of mean muscular wolfs killing pups, mothers, and even some of the strongest males this was bad real bad.then suddenly Whisp realized something she was partly hidden by a huge rock so for the moment she was hardly vizable plus she hadn't move a hair since the growl so for now she was safe but now she had to figure a way out without being seen who would help?

Karin saw the black Bear and the may wolves. She growled her hair standing up. She glanced over at Wisp and ran away getting the attention on her.

Whisp saw Karin no!t she thought what are you doing? and then she understood Karin was trying to get noticed so she and her pups could get away Karin,she thought i owe you my life.and then she ran,ran faster then the wind to the clan and told everybody what she saw and then left her pups in the farest bit of cave knowing that it would take a long time for her cubs to crawl to the intrence and ran back to Karin. she got there just in time for Karin was,she could see,almost out of breath. she then howled a long mounful howl sounding like more then 1,000 wolfs at once with the eco of the canion making Tamanoke and his group of wolfs pause long enough for Karin to run away.yes!she thought and then she ran to catch up to her.

Karin huffed. "Thank you. How did you do that?" she asked as Whisp came running towards her.

Raja was also in the cave and looked at the pubs. She laid down her tail wagging.

"I have no idea!" Whisp whispered almost out of breath"This crazy feeling came over me." "Thank you,by distracting them you not only saved my life but also saved my pups lives.I will never be able to thank you enough."

Moonlight stood up seeing the walls of the cave just barely through her blury vision and tried taking a step and falled.

"You okay?" Raja asked slowly going over to Moonlight and picking her up.
