Callix finally started to wake up. He yawned drowsily. It was dark, and he was cold and lonely. "What happened?"

Kael still watched the stars. The moon was bright, and it was cloudless.

Perrin lay underneath a cloth strung up between to dumpsters. She wriggled anxiously, memory of earlier when she had scented Duke kept her awake. FInally, she got up and headed out into the alley.

Shea walked around and soon found Callix. "Hey, how are you? Take this and eat it," she pushed a hot dog over to him.

"Thanks." Callix ate the hot dog really fast.
