"Well the alley way is usually where I sleep and stay. I move around a lot but I've been here for a pretty long while."Shasta replied, showing no signs of aggressiveness anymore.Her throat was beginning to go dry so she walked over to a puddle that was close to her. She lapped up some of the water and then sat back down in front of Dice.

Duke started walking again, now that he had something in his stomach and he rested for a little while. He walked along the road and watched the cars rush passed him.

Dice watched the Female lap up water. he layed down where he was. " Oh, i see whats this place like? it's larger then where I have lived. Are you apart of a pack?" Dice longed to be apart of a pack but had never been in a pack only with two or three friendly dogs.

"Well foods kinda scarce, but then again its pretty scarce anywhere. I get by though, especially that I'm living with myself.No, I'm not apart of a pack, I've barely seen any packs before."Shasta said but then thought, well I don't get out much so that's probably why I haven't seen any packs.Then she started to wonder what pack life would be like.

Dice nodded, "Food is always scarce. Ah I haven't lived in a pack neitier, I lived with my brother and a couple of other wolves once but my brother got hit by a car last year and I have been living alone ever since." he shivered at his memory watching his brother getting crushed by that car. He would never forget the sound, the red car and the people rushing to him to see if he was okay. Dice had rushed onto the road himself, the people had yelled at him and swatted him to go away. So on the edge of the road he watched as the swiftly put his brother into their car and drive away. He hadn't seen Twix since.

"Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that. I've been alone pretty much my whole life but of course I have gotten used to it." Shasta said with no expression on her face but a small hint of sadness in her eyes. She looked at Dice, knowing how he felt since he mom got killed right in front of her eyes. She started to try to shake away the feeling of sadness but the memory of her mom being killed in front of her as a puppy was to bad to shake away. She ran away of course, fearing that she would be killed, but she had been alone the rest of her life.

A malevolent grin breaks across her sleek muzzle as she shakes her pelt. Kariya lifts her massive head, grinning so wide her carnassials showing from underneath her black lips. "Was that suppose to hurt?" With her immense weight, she leaps onto the dalmation, shoving him down onto the forest floor. Since the dog put up a good fight, she didn't deliver a deadly bite. Instead she stood over him, growling lowly.

He growled up at Kariya, thrashing underneath her. "Listen, kitten, just get off and go and it won't be anymore trouble." When he managed to get her off, Talu scrambled up and snapped his jaws at her.

Dice nodded felling a sad, about his brother but also for Shasta it must be very hard to be alone all your life. Over the past year he had always felt the pain in his stomach of emptiness and nothing could replace his brother, he still always wanted another dog to come and be a friend and for him to live with or atleast be close to. Dice lifeted his head, " Can I stay here tonight?" He looked longingly

Kariya

Instead of reacting with ferocity, Kariya chuckles amusingly. "Alright, puppy, I'll let you live this time." She trots off a few meters from him, shaking debris from her elegant fur.

"Sure."Shasta said.Surprisingly she actually liked the idea of having another dog stay with her. She liked his company and well she hasn't ever had anyone stay with her before. She started to wonder if this was some kind of trick to get food, but she threw the thought into the back of her mind, knowing he didn't seem like the kind of dog that would do that. A small smile appeared on her white face."Come on, I'll show you the alley way that I stay in."She said as she got up, shaking her pelt and walked inside the alley way.

Duke's throat was starting to become dry as he walked along the side of the rode. Soon he found a small puddle, but it was better than nothing. He lapped up some of the water and then kept walking. He was shaking because he was very cold and wet. His pelt clung to his skin. He was wet because when cars drove by some of them would drive right into a puddle next to him and the nasty water would spray him.
