Intro
You are flying across the Atlantic when a headwind forces you down, and you land on a little island. You explore for a bit, and soon come apon a coal-black dragon. You cower in front of it, but it laughs kindly."Ah, young one. I see you have stumbled apon our little island. Do not be afraid, all are welcome, if they wish us no harm. But i must ask you this: "Will you join us?" And with that, he lifts off the ground and sails away.

The Island

The Cabins, each have 2 floors, a kitchen, 4 bedrooms, SOME electronics(computer TV and lamps) a sitting room,bathroom,fireplace.


The Hatchery, where young trainers can get eggs, or they reserve a spot for one of their dragons eggs.


The Dragon Center, where you bring your injured dragons. There are many sub-centers on the island, but there is one main one.


The Cave, where wild dragons come to lounge


The Kennels, where all trainers keep their dragons

Looks: Pictured above the form. She has icy blue eyes and straight, medium-length blonde hair, with a relatively normal skin tone. Her build is very slender and poised, one of someone with royal blood. She always stands straight and poised, like a porcelain statue as some call her.
Personality: Eliza is rather shy around others, and getting her to open up isn't a task easily done. She has a hard time trusting people after what happened in her past, so she normally stays reserved and quiet until she realizes she can truly trust someone.
History: Eliza's had a rather rough past. Both her parents abandoned her for unknown reasons at the age of 7, and left her at a mall when they'd abandoned her. (they just left without her). Some guy said he'd help her out and such, but he used her for criminal use, and Eliza was completely oblivious to it. So when she thought she could trust the man, he placed her as a scapegoat and she ended up in Juvi for a little bit. So now she has a hard time trusting people, due to all her horrid memories. But Eliza rarely speaks of her past to people.

History She inharited the riding of dragons from a long line of other dragon riders, her trainer may have been Argon himself. The Stories states that five years into the bloody conflict, an elf called Eragon found a dragon egg, let it hatch, and raised the hatchling in secret. Together, they traveled across Alagaesia and stopped the war, allowing peace to follow. In order to prevent another war, the representative of the dragons met with the elven queen Tarmunora and both made a magical pact, called the Blood-Oath or Blödhren in Ancient Language, changing both races as described above. Humans were added to the pact later and were therefore not as immersed in it as were the elves. From then on, the Dragon Riders kept peace in the whole of Alagaesia. The formal training of a Rider and dragon traditionally took many years, and the Dragon Riders continued to hone their skills throughout their lives. At the end of the training, the Elven smith Rhunön would forge a sword made from a meteoric ore called brightsteel (the concept is similar to the mythical metal adamant) for the trained Dragon Rider.

Personality: Stream is nice and lovable but can be fierce if she wants to. She is not the best fighter and wants the perfect trainer for her. She is very beautiful and graceful with a large wingspan.

Other: She is very easy to get along with and easy to like. She can hold her breath longer than a normal dragon but cannot breathe underwater. Also when she goes underwater she folds her wings and bolts through (Like a torpedo), not swims, and twists and turns to move different directions.

His build is that of the regal copper, but his coloring is that of a Longwing. Smaller than a purebred Regal, but larger than a Longwing.
Other: He can spit venom, but it is not as strong as a pure-blood Longwing.

Species


Greyling- Small lightweight dragon, camouflaged by its grey coloration. Bred more for speed than intelligence and weighs around 5 tons. They are the result of crossbreeding the larger, more aggressive Grey Widowmakers with the smaller, more even-tempered Winchesters. It is stated that Greylings are able to stay in the air with only 1 wing beat every hour.


Longwing- This middleweight dragon is capable of a vitriolic attack (spitting highly acidic venom) aimed with great accuracy, though only downward. As its name implies, it has an impressive wingspan, and distinctive markings ranging from orange to blue. Longwings average a length of 60 feet (20 m) but have a wingspan of 120 feet (35 m).


Grey Widowmaker- Native ancestor of the Greyling, this small dragon was once as common as the Yellow Reaper.



Yellow Reaper- Middleweight dragons with golden coloring. Yellow Reapers are fairly common, weigh in between 12–15 tons, and are known for their even temperament. They are however rather slow, with a top speed of approximately 20 knots (with a top cruising speed of 17 knots), with even the larger Regal Coppers capable of faster (though not longer) flight. Yellow Reapers have an average wingspan of 80 feet (25 m) and are generally around 50 feet (15 m) long.


Regal Copper- This heavyweight dragon exceeds all known breeds in sheer size (40–50 tons) and are related to the Bright Coppers (middleweights with unusually large air sacs allowing longer duration flight) and the Spanish Cauchador Real heavyweight dragons. Females are usually larger than the males. Regals breed infrequently making them very valuable. Only a handful of heavyweights approach their size, including Grand Chevaliers and at least one breed of Prussian heavyweight dragon. Large Regals are approximately twice the weight of Celestials/Imperials (40–50 tons vs. 20–25 tons), though most are 30 tons or less. Regal Coppers have vivid colorations ranging from red to yellow, and are very far-sighted. Regals have a top cruising speed of around 17–20 knots (35 km/h) and a top speed of a little over 20 knots (37 km/h).

Anglewing- Smaller dragons, with oddly angled wings that allow them to make sharp, unpredictable turns. They are middleweights, weighing a mere 13–16 tons on average. (no pic yet)


Bright Copper- Native forerunner of the Regal Copper. Noted for their unusually large air sacs, a trait they passed on to their descendants, the enormous Regal Coppers

Chequered Nettle- A heavyweight dragon smaller than Regal Coppers but more common. They possess spiked tails which can be used in a manner similar to morning stars. They find new mates every year.

Pascal's Blue- A lightweight combat dragon (around 8 tons) with light blue coloring. They mate for life.

Elemental Dragons


Water Dragon- As the name suggests, it rules over water. Some have wings, some dont. Water dragons are about the size of Longwings, sometimes bigger.Winged ones are more common, as they spend more of their time on land. Un-winged water dragons are way more comfortable in water, but the winged ones are capable of living on land.Water dragons are very hard to acquire. They mate for life, and produce up to 2 eggs.



Fire Dragon- These guys are the rulers of anything that has to do with fire. They are very stubborn and hard to train. Fire Dragons are about the size of a Regal Copper, but much much faster and slimmer. Only the most tolerant trainers should pursue these dragons. They find a new mate every 3 years, and they produce up to 4 eggs.



Darkness Dragon- The darkness dragons are rulers of the night. Some have doubted their exsistance. They are very real, all right. Dark Dragons are very secretive, and only come out at night. Very little is known about them, but what everyone does know is that they are not all evil. Not much is known about their breeding ways, although Onyx (hatchling) is suspected to have Dark Dragon blood in him.



Ice Dragon- Ice dragons are found in the frozen lands. They are swift flyers, and are often mistaken as Snow Dragons. Again, little is known about them, due to their habitat. Ice Dragons are protected by their steel-hard scales.



Snow Dragon- Often mistaken as Ice dragons, Snow and Ice are very different. Snow dragons will live anywhere that will produce snow, so more is known about them. Ice dragons are just bigger that Longwings and are a purer white than Ice dragons. While Snow dragons have much more speed than Ice dragons, they dont have the rock-hard scales, and its got less stamina. Snow dragons are very gentle and they love anyone with a kind heart. Snow dragons produce 3 eggs and mate for life.



Earth Dragon- The Earth dragons are nature loving and fun. They usually are found in cracks in cliffs or in large burrows. Earth dragons are the best choice for a beginner elemental-dragon trainer. Earth dragons have the power of nature on their side. They can produce only 2 eggs and they (sometimes) mate for life.



Behavior
Most Full-grown dragons need cliffs for a standing takeoff. The smaller dragons dont.

Dragons are NOT vegetarians! They eat MEAT.

Trainers are not some phsyic magical all-power people. They are NORMAL PEOPLE.

Wild dragons and Trained dragon diets are fairly similar, but the trained dragon diet includes some feed from its trainer.

Trainers can have up to 1 dragon. Trainers may give up its dragon (no dragon-trainer connection, for its own good, etc.) to the wild (via The Dragon Handbook)

There is one time where dragon and rider will communicate clearly, and thats when the rider figures out its dragons name.

The wild dragons teach their hatchlings to hunt and fly, then they leave them to fend for themselves.

Hatchling-born dragons still have a secret name, but the employees name them. If you get a hatchling-born dragon, you will still get the same dragon-rider moment as any dragon owner will.

The Hatchery

The Outside, which is protected by pygmy fighting dragons.



The Hatchling and Mature(ing) Hatchling section.It looks much like a barn.


Seperate egg holder, which is self explanitory. It holds eggs.


Water Dragon Egg Incubator, water is warm and is sometimes decorated with bits of logs.The bottom is lined with pebbles.


An Egg Display Case, each will hold up to 1 incubator and 1 seperate egg holder. Locked and safe but easily accessed by employees.

Personality: From what out employees say, Onyx is a quiet one, not very playful, but very obedient.
Diet: Seems to love raw meat mixed in with his hatchling mash.

Looks:Light blue mixed with some purple.
History: Was given up by a dying man. Ripple was then personally raised by one of our employees.

Breed: Suspected to be a water dragon.
Personality: Rambunctious, Playful, and a prankster.
Diet: Wholly sea food, including seaweed, crabs, and lobsters.

Illnesses

Dragons Bane- A rare but killing disease, discovered when a young trainer brought his dragon to the Dragon Center, and the workers couldn't find anything wrong with the dragon, but the dragon was wheezing and coughing.

Symptoms- Starts out as a little cough, then progresses to wheezing and coughing, then the dragon wont be able to breath, and soon they will die of starvation.

Cure- A soupey substance made up of poplar leaves, aster juice, iris (stem), and a rare flower called the Arisaema. Very hard to aquire, that is why most dragons die from Dragons Bane.

Epithermo- About as deadly as a cold, it can become a real problem if left untreated.

Symptoms- Itching, hallucinating(minor), and more rust than often on the scales

Cure- A cream made up of red ferns and Bells of Ireland. Apply directly to the source.

Animal Partners

Birds of Prey- Hawks, Eagles, any big bird really! They can scan the land below from above, using their awsomesauce vision. Also used for long-distant messaging.

Songbirds-Yep, those small, everyday backyard birds. They can scout ahead and see if there's any danger without attracting too much attention.

Foxes-These furry little guys will always be there, being the most loyal and devoted companion you can ever have.

Wolves-Feirce and trustowrthy, will never leave ther masters side.

Woodland Creatures-More than often used for messaging. Squirrels(not the flying ones) and chipmunks for less important messages, and all the flying ones (flyign squirrels yay!)for long distance messages.
