[Alrighty; thank you, Rabbitheart. ~]
Pangaea spun around to face the warrior, teeth bared and tail lashing. She really could only handle so much of this.
"Please," she started, voice low and rough, "Can't we just forget about all of this? Please, Heartbreak. This is not beta Pangaea or alpha Pangaea, just ... me. And I'm asking you to drop this. We'd both be better off. You have a sister to look out for, another female just over there interested in you, and a mate waiting for you in the next life. And I ... I have a pack to lead."
She took another step backwards, retreating, expression growing more gentle and sad than aggressive. "I apologize for starting this," she continued, painfully honest. "It's not right; none of this is ... and I'm sorry for forcing you into it. But I'm fixing it now. Be happy, Heartbreak- go and make a life for yourself until you can be with Soul again. But please; don't try to include me. Neither of us would be happy."
For a moment she moved as if to approach him, intending to touch him just one last time in a form of goodbye, but froze. She couldn't do that anymore, ever again.
The new alpha flicked her tail and turned away in the direction of the Moonchaser alpha. It was time to move on.
